Boy, you are so right! That is on the top of my pet peeve list! Inconsiderate people who get gas, go inside the store, take a nap, use the restroom, eat lunch, but leave their car sitting idle at the pump, especially the outside pump. We too have a MH, and we need the outside pump because we tow also. I haven't gone inside the store as yet to find the lazy perpetrators, but it is a great idea! I enjoy your videos so much. We have two miniature schnauzers who travel with us. Keep up the great work!

Hankooks are excellent tires for a motorhome. Ours are wearing great, no leaks and smooth riding.

So far so good! There is still a bit of a shake, so. It sure where that’s coming from. The original owner of the coach battled it as well. Road Force Balancing is probably next...or all new ALCOA aluminum rims...🤔

I went from Goodyear to Hankook Tires on my class A as well. I found them to be excellent and an upgrade from Goodyear. I hope you have the same luck. I had them on for 8 years and about 40,000 miles with no adverse wear and they had zero age-related issues like fading or checking.

The Goodyear tires were still in good condition and could have lasted a bit longer, but we knew the roads in East Texas and Louisiana are pretty bad so we though it a good idea to get new ones to help with the road conditions a bit better.

Good day guys. It seems that this time I'm disagreeing with most people. I'm a full timer and I have all the time in the world. I don't let others ruin my days and because I'm never in a rush to get anywhere, I let people be. What's waiting 20 or 30 minutes when I'm in the comfort of my Class A? It's nothing. People need to stop being angry and mad at the little things in life. Enjoy every minute of your life no matter what and you'll find out that you will be much happier and so much less stressed. You drove right thru our city SA. Our family loves white cap beach at north padre. You were right there! I know they say South Padre is cleaner water (never when I've been), but we love our brown water beach! Its ours. We park on the beach throw up our tents and spend the day/weekend grilling great food and enjoying the sun. When we want clear blue water we usually go on a cruise! Miss those days. Great video. Thanks for sharing!

My husband and I was at the very same beach last November. We stayed at mustang island. We got a Texas state park permit so we could stay at the state park. It’s good for a year. So we are good till november this year. We had a great time there. Had to stay near the water when we drove on the sand. Saw too many people stuck in the soft sand. We also ate at snoopy,s when there. You get a lot of seafood for the money. Plan on going there again and sit in the water on our lounge chairs. Only problem was it is very windy there. Finally on a Wednesday the wind was calm and we could go swimming, and not worry too much about the rip tides. We learned we had to get there early to get the best sea shells.

the deal with the gas pumps used to drive us crazy as well....and it was often pretty tough maneuvering with a truck and a 28' travel trailer. that's why when we went up to the 36' 5th wheel we went with a diesel truck. it's a breeze now to get fuel at the truck stops...just something to consider for the next rig purchase. Texas beaches don't really compare well to the west coast or florida, but as you found, if you drive far enough you can have your own private stretch of beach...loved watching the pups scampering about...nice vid..thanks

I’m glad you said people are leaving their cars parked at the pumps. What happened to the day you would move your vehicle away from the pump and go into the store. I agree it is SOooo frustrating.

Oh yea that has happened to us. I went and asked the guy in a class A if he would mind moving out of the outside pump lane if he was finished with his lunch so we could pull up and pump with our truck and fifth wheel! Thankfully, he was nice about It and moved right away. But geez - pull over to the back of the lot to make your sandwich buddy! 🤦‍♀️

We went to north padre back first week of February to do a solar install it was super nice and way less people....we drove the 60 miles all the way to the end which was really cool, we felt all alone down there.....

We did that on South Padre, but it was only about 30 miles. Some people warned us that it was the “Wild West” out there, but we didn’t have any problems.

No where else in Texas can beat the beaches at South Padre. If you haven't left Texas yet, make sure you get in a stop at Buc-ee's! It's the best convenience store you'll ever stop at, known all throughout Texas and beyond!

It was hard to relax on the beach sandwiched in between vehicles. We really liked that there was a section of SPI reserved for beach goers and no vehicles. Yes, we absolutely love Buccees!

I hope you checked and maybe used the FMCA tire discount program it saved me a bundle on my Michelin project. At the advice of the tire shop I actually put the old Goodyears on craigslist and sold them in 20 minutes to a farmer for an agricultural vehicle who doesn’t care about the date codes. Didn’t even have to touch the tires I put $200 back in my pocket. Hey a half a tank of fuel! Thomyt

Hey ThomyT! Unfortunately, FMCA and Hankook no longer work together. The tires themselves were decently priced. It was all the other taxes, fees, $170 forklift charge and $500 in labor to install the tires that ran up the bill. I did get a $60 Veterans discount though!

If you get a chance I used to stop at a Barbecue place called Bodacious, it was a small chain in central and northern Texas. Each one was independently owned and unique. Several had semi truck parking or was close to a strip mall and with in walking distance. I would get a chopped brisket sandwich and order a pound or two and a quart of sauce and a package of buns. It would go in the cooler for several meals. I was towing a pontoon boat through Colorado and finally went to a different gas station because a bunch of idiots had parked underneath the canopies because a hail storm was showing on their smartphones. I explained that I had just gone through it south of them but nobody would move. They had just moved there from California. 🙄

If your in the Branson Mo area just 25 miles North in Ozark is good place to get tires. Hicks truck and trailer is a good place to get tires. I get 22.5”. Truck tires for my 40’ Newmar Kountry Star for under $300 each plus installation. The brand is Ironman. Call and get a quote. They do all of mechanical work on my Newmar.

I've heard Ironman tires are a good quality tire. A service man for concrete trucks told me they ran them on their big trucks with no issues. If they will hold up to a concrete truck should be good on a class a.

I'm sure glad I decided not to drive to North Padre this weekend! Mustang Island has a small RV park I have no idea what the prices or specifics are since I don't have an RV. There is no ocean view you would have to walk a bit to get to the ocean but it tends to be quieter over there!

Enjoying your videos . Your dogs were enjoying running along the beach ! Come to Florida we have beautiful beaches. I'm not crazy about cars on the beach either. So I don't recommend Daytona. The panhandle has beautiful beaches and that wouldn't be too bad of a drive from the gulf of Texas

We use iMovie. It's simple to learn and has enough bells and whistles to help create great videos. DaVinci Resolve is another great, FREE, editing package. A bit of a learning curve, but it is very powerful.

Headed to Temecula, CA, in the process of getting fuel at the Loves in Van Horn, TX waiting to get fuel, when an in patient auto transport driver hit us taking out our drivers side mirror, windshield crushed and fiberglass damage to the frame. The transport company did further damage trying to load, and two blowouts on the transport trailer later, and a week of horrors, we finally made it to Red Bay, AL. for repairs. If you can don’t wait in getting new shoes. After finding out that the transport carriers trailer tires were 10 years old. They look fine on the outside, but rotten on the inside. The mix of weight and heat caused the tires to blow on the transport (very traumatic) to watch your rig on the trailer during a blowout. Note. We do have a safetybar installed, as well as a TPMS system on the rig and tow vehicle. Be safe everyone!

Great video. Your dogs did it again. When Ricky and Lucy were running on the beach my two Havanese jumped up off the couch, front and center, tails wagging, in front of the TV, not once, but twice, the second time being when my wife watched the video later that day. How do your little guys handle heat? We had pugs before that couldn't take it. I saw some device the other day that monitors inside RV temperature and sends a phone notification if pets are alone and the a/c, for example, goes out and the coach temp rises above a customer set point. Wondered if you have anything or considered something like that.

That’s too funny. Rikki and Lucy do the same when they see dogs on TV! Frenchies in general have difficulty in hot, humid weather so we try to keep them as cool as possible. They both have cooling vests that help. We also have a product called Temp Stick that monitors temperature. If temps get above 85 in the coach it will send us a text and email. Also, I’ve set up our coach so that one AC unit will operate off of the lithium battery bank for 3-4 hours if needed.

In watching various KZbin videos I've seen at least half a dozen similar products people use for monitoring coach temperature that do the same basic thing. While we're not RVing full time until the DW retires next year, we're building a list of needs and wants to equip our Lazy Daze. We subscribe to about ten full timer KZbinrs and find your content most entertaining and educational. I see that you installed the brake light indicator for the toad .Now I've got to crawl under my coach and put that finishing touch on my surge brake tow bar 🥴.The steering stabilizer not adjusted correctly is inexcusable with the money that you just sent. Not like you can just turn around and have the tire shop get it right. Hopefully they'll reimburse you at your next stop 🤑.Stay safe 🙏🏿.

The steering stabilizer has made a world of difference for us. Nuff Said about that. Not great 👎. Had to have the front tires rebalanced and alignment redone at another shop. Same company, so no charge. Our coach has a SafeTPlus steering stabilizer on it so it takes some adjustment to get the coach to track straight. It’s much better now, but still needs a small tweak when there is no wind and I can find a stretch of road that is flat.

Hi Barbara! A class B is probably the best way to go as they are more easily repaired and maintained. We would recommend one without slides though.

I was wondering how you like the Hankook tires . I am scheduled to have Beasley Tire same location install 6 Hankooks next week and was wondering what were the date codes on the tires they gave you.

Hi Dave. All 6 tires had date codes of 6 months, but be sure to tell them that’s what you want. This said, I have had to have the tires rebalanced 4 times since getting them. Each time the tires were totally out of balance. Not sure why. Having them Road Force Balanced helped a little, but the ride quality is still not good. Hankook was good enough to warranty all 6 with a brand of my choice. Taking the Hankooks off and putting Michelin’s on this week. Hope you have better luck with them. Be sure to have them Road Force Balanced at a minimum and make sure they get the road force down as low as possible on each tire. Under 20 pounds of road force (or 0.020 runout) is where you need them to be for a coach. Don’t let them tell you otherwise!

Excellent! Zero vibrations! The tire tech did an excellent job of road force balancing as well as tire/rim matching on the duals so that the runout on each tire was almost exactly the same.

One last piece of advice, any time those tires are dismounted (example, if you have a flat fixed) always always always, do the road force balance and tire/rim match mount when necessary. Hi Bob! The water was a bit chilly, but there were a few people who braved it. Sadly, I don’t have access to military bases as I’m not a disabled Vet or retired. Rikki is 3 and Lucy is 5. Both are from different litters and breeders.

I said that because the front tires need to be placed on a alignment plate that has ball bearings so that when you jostle the steering wheel back and forth the tires are free. , if you adjust the tie rods the tires have to move freely or it will not be a good alignment.
