All my sketchbooks are made with exposed Coptic stitch binding. I reuse the cardboard and covers sheets from the watercolor block as the end paper and hard backs. It’s a very utilitarian esthetic.

Hello Kriksis! I actually love bookbinding. I make my own sketchbooks and Notebooks whenever I find the time for it and sometimes I even make my own watercolors (and the necessary binder) too. I guess you can say that I like to go to the root of the things.😂 Greetings from Germany… Andrea

Denise Love here on KZbin has several skills share classes on sketchbook and journal making that are also worth a look,but it was Pear Fleur that started the love a of making sketchbooks for me (Matt) P s I have a vintage tin for my bookbinding tools as well
