Gemma your videos always give me such comfort, there’s something about this space that feels safe and the cat sombrero truly lifted my spirits as strange as that sounds. 😅 It’s been a tough couple of days for us as my boyfriends mum passed away very recently from cancer and it truly has been so difficult. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning as i know you’ve been through something similar, it means a lot how much you share your journey and feelings in your vlogs as I know it can be quite a vulnerable feeling at the time but leaves strength for others. What i did with my cat pole was remove all the scratched rope bought a new roll of rope and hot glued the new rope on i got a thicker rope too they can give it more of a deeper scratch its lasted way longer and they love it 🥰

Icing sugar instead of normal sugar makes it much whippier too! And if you whip it for twice as long as you think you should it makes it go all thick and glossy and lovely!!

Hi Gemma, I’m a fellow cat lover. We had a cat tree where the scratch posts had disintegrated. So I hot glued new rope on to it and it’s as good as new. Loving your vlogs. ☺️

Gemma, since the cats scratch all the rope off of their old cat tree, you can just get some sisal rope to re wrap the posts. It’s cheaper than buying an extra cat tree. I know you already have the new tree so this of just an FYI in case you get tired of looking at the old one and the ropes hanging off it. Also for when the kitties destroys the new one.
