I highly recommend you read some Zadie Smith novels, you will love them! White Teeth is phenomenal, but I would say On Beauty is a similar character-driven vibe to Cleopatra and Frankenstein ❤

Lovely Q&A! I find it very refreshing to watch booktubers like you who don’t focus on the number of books being read, like there’s enough pressure already in life! Let’s not compete at reading 😅 I’m definitely one of those who were inspired to start a channel from your newbie video, I had wanted to for a while but I didn’t have the courage. But seeing your video I felt like I didn’t want to wait on life, or how to put it. I felt like let’s just give it a go. Like allow myself to do it for fun. I’m also with you on SATC, I didn’t have the channel it aired on growing up (we were a low tech household haha) and I was too young anyway, but I watched it in my 20s and then again and again. They’re not perfect but that’s kind of the beauty of it for me. I’m not either! 🌸

Yes there’s two seasons for you to catch up on, and they’re filming a third! Brace yourself though, it’s nowhere near as great as the original series. TBH the SATC fandom kind of hates it 😅 Also Samantha didn’t want to come back for it, which is such a shame, but understandable. 😭 She’s really missed and I think that’s why a lot of people don’t like it. She does make a brief cameo in the 2nd season though. But yeah let me know what you think when you get round to watching it. 🤍
