Welcome to the video making side of booktube! Some very thoughtful answers, especially since I think this is the hardest tag to make and it's everyone's first one 😁I've basically stopped thinking about if what I'm saying is interesting to other people, if I am interested it there is usually a least a few other people who are, there are such a wide range of booktubers you naturally find your audience.

Hi, Rick! 🙋‍♀️ Excellent first video! 👏👏👏 Really, you've done so well at just being yourself and letting your love for books shine through your words. 😊 Don't sell yourself short though. You do bring a unique perspective to BookTube, simply because only *you* see things the way you do, based on the entirety of your life experiences. ❤ Also, I think you'll be surprised with how quickly you get used to your own voice! 😁 Finally, I have to tell you, my kids absolutely *loved* 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' when they were young. (The Magic Treehouse books, too, though they're about as opposite as can be! ☺️) ~ Kim

Welcome! Excited to hear your voice and get your perspective on what you're reading! I totally feel you on the hating the sound of your own voice 😂 When I started booktube I became hyper aware of speech impediment and I was super self-conscious. 😅 You seem very comfortable in front of the camera.

Hey Rick! Welcome to booktube! I think you'll do great. You have a great voice and you seem really comfortable in front of the camera and like you genuinely love reading, so just keep going and you'll do great! I totally relate to the fear/hesitation of putting things up on the internet haha but the creative outlet aspect is so much fun, and I think a great confidence boost. Regardless of results, just doing the thing is a great feeling. I haven't read anything by Sally Rooney yet, but I'm hoping to get to Intermezzo in November.
