This is the best cut I've seen on a Coton de Tulear! In fact, I'm showing the end result to my groomer so I can finally have the cut I want on mine! Now.... On to seeing a Havanese groom (I have one of those too)!

You're the best non-Korean groomer I've seen. I don't trust anyone with my dogs so I groom them myself. But I would absolutely trust you! This baby is a twin to my boy, minus the eye patch and back patch, and add tanner ears. Adorable👏🏻♥️

He reminds me of my late Maltese, Sampson. I now they aren't the same dog. The Coton de Tulear is a bigger version of the Maltese, but they look so similar.

I love that length of hair. My Coton has thick thick hair and it mats so quickly. I like to use clippers because I am not good with scissors. He looks beautiful. I haven’t figured how to get my dog’s hair even like that. I guess I should be going backwards with an attachment on the clipper. I’ll have to work on that.

He is such a good dog...I have two cotons too and they have such a lovely nature ... I've given up trying to find someone locally that knows how to groom them properly especially since the lockdown...wish we lived near you so ours could be groomed by yourself! I've taken to grooming them myself for the moment..but its a case of hit and miss! My two are on Instagram.

His coat is 5/8” on the trunk of the body, and 1-2” on the legs. Blending the body into the longer legs.

How much pressure do you apply to the brush?

I use one finger to apply pressure. I start with the gentlest brush and end with a firm brush, especially when the dog is wet. This prevents irritation and discomfort.

Thought I rescued a Bichon! But why was Maxwell's hair so long and silky? At 75 years old and had Standards and a couple of mixed...watched lots of Kennel Shows and always loved the Coton!!! Well I REALLY DO HAVE THE PERFECT COTON DE TULEAR! MAXWELL SMART!!! WILL PROBABLY OUTLIVE MAMA ANDRA THANKS FOR THE VIDEO ABOUT GROOMING! THEY ALWAYS JUST SHAVE THE SHIT OFF!! @HOW to GROOM dogs! Thank you so much for this video! You have an amazing touch with this pup. He turned out beautiful. I like how you shared the changes you were going to make after the previous groomer. Now I know why my Coton loves going to the groomer but hates getting groomed at home. (I use a regular noisy blow dryer & a slicker) What temp does your dryer blow? Would you be able to include links in the description to the brushes, comb, harness and dryer?

Rather than rub the coat, blotting and squeezing the hair to get the water out of the coat helps prevent further tangles.
