I have this backpack and absolutely love it. I can get everything needed for a week away into it and it fits into the overhead lockers on the airplane. I also use it for business trips, it’s superb.

I just bought this bag (Allpa 35L Del Dia) in one of the bundles at the Salt Lake City, UT downtown store yesterday. I got the 35L bag, a 16L Batac day pack, the 2L, 3L & 10L packing cubes and 2 sets of masks, all for $254---score! I already own the 46L Uyuni duffel as well & the Bataan fanny pack, so one might say I've become a Cotopaxi junkie! However, the company has a great mission statement and they really do good!!!!

Great review. One note, maybe it's a feature they added since the video, but my allpa 35l has a removable hip straps. It's velcroed into place, but is easily removed.

what are your thoughts on the difference of the 42 and the 35...I am trying to select a bag that I can use for scuba trips..so I need to be able to fit a 3 mil wet suit ,mask and fins...as well as the other travel items..how would you attach the fins can they go outside the bag or will they fit inside? do you have an interior measurement?

i'm torn between this pack and the Topo designs global travel bag. I love the Topo colors and pockets but ater watching both reviews i'm under the impression the Allpa 35 somehow fits more than the topo 40 ? Something about those two really deep compartments, when the Topo compartments seem flatter. Any thoughts ? :)

Thanks for posting this video! I own the first generation of the Allpa 35L and I am very pleased with it. There are not any huge differences between the original 35L and the new Del Dia version in my opinion - if anyone is trying to figure out which one to buy. With the new one, you can remove the hip belt. I miss that option on the old version and would not mind being able to remove it. But you can still tuck it away. The straps also seem to be a bit wider on the new version as well which might be a good thing. Lastly, the new version doesn't seem to have any compression straps inside the big compartment.

I’d love to see a review comparing it to the 42L. I’m going to Europe for a month but only want to take a carryon (hopefully I’ll figure out how to pack) but can’t decide on the 35 or 42.

We travelled around Europe for two months with tiny daypacks. It really just depends on how much stuff you’re comfortable traveling without.

@Keli Amparan Not sure if your trip to Europe has happened yet, but professional tour guide Sarah Murdoch's tips on ultralight packing were super helpful to me. She's actually the one I learned about the Allpa from. : - ) Main concept: literally weighing each individual item of clothing and packing what's lightest so you can have more pieces in the same space without scrimping on style. Game changer! Hope you had/have a good trip!

I feel you there. I just bought the 3530 minutes ago for a trip them taking in October. It was super painful $180 but before you buy it sign up for the email and phone number it’s a little cheaper.
