The garden is looking beautiful and it’s definitely a lot of work but worth it :) Just moved to Franklin and looking forward to getting my garden going . In in a rental home so planter garden is my choice right now . I’ve gotten some great tips from you and hope for a country cottage garden next spring :) 💐

That’s exactly how I started. I had about 150 grow bags with above ground irrigation in my rental last year!

Your garden plan looks like it’s made a great start. All the roses are beautiful, but I particularly love the April Love rose bush. I met my husband in April, and was married in April. Unfortunately, I’ve never had good luck growing roses. I’ve lost every rose bush I’ve ever planted. I’m in a wooded area in the Northeast. What zone are you growing in?🌹

Thank you so much! I'm in zone 7b, I realized after I uploaded I didn't mention in video. Middle TN, with lots of clay soil. It's hard to grow here without a lot of soil amendments or raised beds, but if you can take care of that, they do pretty well if you monitor them. It's hot and humid over the summer, so black spot will take over if you don't go out and pull leaves weekly (and I try to do daily when I'm home!). I think you have issues with overwintering also, we don't have to worry too much about that.

will the roses in pots stay in pots or go in the ground? 😊
@LisaMonique4 ай бұрын
I will keep a few in pots through the spring because I’m still not sure how our ground drains in our heavy spring rains. So I anticipate moving 2 from pots into the ground in the rose garden, moving 2 to the back yard because I don’t love them, and leaving the rest in pots in the cottage garden. I have 60 more on order for the spring, most to go in the backyard but I anticipate putting a few more in pots upfront. I drilled about eight drainage holes in them and want to get pavers to put under them. Part of me thought of cutting out the bottoms completely and using them as mini raised beds in case the ground gets too wet…
