I really appreciate your positive talk abt your own work, Mary. Perhaps this comes with experience? Enjoying these "cottage core" paintings. I live near an area informally called "cottage country" in Ontario Canada!

Thank you! It's funny when I'm editing my video and I hear myself say "I love that" or "isn't that beautiful?" They start out such a mess that I guess I'm just as surprised as everyone else when something turns out. LOL

Thank you. I got that a while back. I believe it is hard board. (I looked it up on the Home Depot site). I got mine at Home Depot and it came in a big sheet and they cut it into smaller pieces for me (squares and rectangle). I probably got at least 10 boards from that one big piece. I've seen artists that actually paint on hardboard . . . but I just use it as a nice hard backing to whatever I'm working on.

Is the underpainting acrylic?

Yes. I scribbled with a pencil and then put a swatch of pink orange and yellow on each one.
