I’ve made some from the regular size books and used 12 x 12 patterned paper. I glue a ribbon to the cover before I cover it so it makes it like a real journal. I measure to be sure it extends beyond the book. It makes it look finished.

I am still a newbie here but I am loving watching your videos when I can catch my breath at this busy season. This is such a great project and super cute . It's too late for Christmas but I am going to make a few of these for my 8yr old granddaughter for Valentines day . She will feel so grown up and really enjoy them . Thank you for sharing 😊 Love & prayers ❤️ 🙏🏻

I started watching your tutorials a couple years ago because I wanted to learn a craft to participate in a craft show. I had never worked with cardstock before and now I can make so many wonderful things because of you. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing yourself 😊💕

Thank you for sharing, I've been trying to figure out how to cover these mini's and your way has been the easiest, it covers out and in. But here's an Mini Composition Book update, the books new size are 4 1/4 x 3 1/4, and since I could not find them I had to order them online. I also started working on the little cover/booklet with the old measurements to slide the mini's in, now they're somewhat big, but they will work and no time to re-do them. Glad I waited for the mini's to cover them. Again thank you for the video, hope the new size helps others.

Amber as I watched and rewatch a lot of your videos, I wonder if you would be so kind to do a video on how you display the different kind of notebooks you show us how to make. I struggle to find the best and least expensive way to do this. Thank you for your time and consideration for this idea.

6/8/24: To jazz mine up, I don’t necessarily use decorative papers for the front of my books. I print out pictures I like from Pinterest, like old magazine covers of celebrities from back in the day (Vanity Fair, In-Style, Vogue, Bazaar, and even Playboy! - for my guy friends who like that stuff, LOL!), and some current celebrities too. They actually wind up looking like mini magazines when done and they're definitely a conversation piece! I've even used personalized pictures of people I know (singles, couples, kids, family photos w/the dog, etc.) that I download in my computer and print out. And for kids, I print their favorite cartoon characters (Disney), or singing person/group, etc. (also from Pinterest). I size and cut them at 4.4" (height) by 3.15 (width) and glue them to the front cover w/2-sided tape around the edges of the pic and then Art Glitter glue all around it and in the middle. (We know how important it is to glue them down tight.) I then glue decorative papers to the back cover of the book and inside covers with the same method. I sometimes put small square or diagonal pockets on the inside cover. I have to admit that my technique may take a little effort, but once I get it going, it flows easily in putting it together, but boy, do they look nice when done! I love how yours came out; they all look so pretty, but the only thing I'd do different is, the decorative paper where it’s butted up against the black strip, I’d add a strip of bling right down the middle in between the black strip and decorative paper from top to bottom to give it some pop and then go to town decorating the rest! I get my bling from Amazon, and I use them religiously. So, from one crafter to another, it's just an idea I thought I'd share, but no matter which way we doll them up, they come out looking SO nice. You'd never think they started from The Dollar Tree! Thanks for sharing yours. It was fun to watch! ❤

Hello Amber, I love your videos and how you explain the steps. I do have a question. I have the clear bag wallets but I am having a difficult time getting the inserts that fit properly. I really don't want to create the inserts if I can purchase. Do you recommend choosing the inserts and creating the cover based on the size of the insert? I really hate to let the clear bag wallets sit here. It should be easy to get this done but I am having issues completing a good notebook. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can find label stickers on most sticker sheets or sticker books with these collections…but if you don’t want to get those, I will link some label stickers in the description box from Amazon. 😊 Thanks for watching!
@ribbonsrosesandlace8401 Жыл бұрын
@@lyriclovercrafts great thank you so much!! None of my papers have stickers like that for the covers. What are the approximate measurements of those stickers? I saw the link you put up but those labels look way too big. Love all your videos!!
@tammiehansen5784 Жыл бұрын
You could make them. Just use scrap paper, cut the corners off on your rectangle. You could matt it or just ink the edges to give it a bit more.
