This is adorable! A friend sent me one half composition book I’m happy mail and I went wild. I have tried to get a pack, but Walmart is out of them both online and in store. Just a note, I found the same thing on Amazon by a different maker, but be advised you only get 6 for $10. Mine are on the way! This idea can be done for Christmas memories, any gift theme! I go to a weekly craft group of 6 ladies and I can make them each one. ❤️

I wanted to share with you how I'm using these little journals. I made 40 of them as take aways for my grandsons Life Celebration coming up on the 25th. He was 17 when he decided to take his life. It gave comfort to make these as the last thing I could do for him. I made only 8 of them for males and they were more plain. I added a pocket to the front as well and included a journaling card. I also used pen clips and clipped a gel pen in coordinating colors to the front cover as well. Thank you so much for this awesome idea!! BTW Walmart is out of stock country wide of the half composition books. I tried to go back for more. Sorry I didn't take them all when I had the chance. I won't make that mistake again. You can find them on Amazon at almost twice the cost. No thanks, I'll just keep checking Wally World! Thank you again, your tutes are always so easy to follow and I've made a ton of your stuff.

Amber...I am so excited. Last year I wanted so much to make these gratitude journals for my sisters & their grandchildren, but I was unable to get the ½ Composition Notebooks @ Walmart...they were all out, & any other place wanted over $2 for JUST 1. But, I kept looking for them, & FINALLY Walmart had them online (not in the store), so I ordered 5 packs & can't wait to get to work on them. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO. :)

I just wanted to say a couple of things, yes, I love this idea so I bought a bunch of paper and went to Office Max to use their paper cutter to get the paper cut exactly. No. 1 make sure you have a composition book with you and I cut the paper like you said 4-7/8”. When I did this the paper needed to be cut 4-7/8 and another 1/16”. If I would have cut them without testing it first all my papers would have been a little too small. No. 2 I did go to Walmart and there were several locations in the store that had some sort of journals. I walked all over and just figured they were all sold out until I was at the front of the store and decided to walk down another aisle and found them. So plan on spending a little time to walk around the store. The first Walmart I went to didn’t have them but their customer service person looked on his phone and let me know which store had them. Whew! With that being said, I can’t wait to start making them tomorrow!

I love this! I'm definitely going to see if our WM has those. Thanks so much! EDIT: I found several packs of these books at WM for $3 a pack!!! My granddaughter loves them (she's 10). I stamped little sayings on some of the pages and images on others for added interest. I did an elastic closure instead of the ribbon. These are so much fun!

I usually give my pricing during my craft fairs series and if I know what craft fairs I would be in. A good price point for these at a simple hometown craft fair would be $5-$7…but if you are in a big art festival or selling online in a boutique or shop, you could maybe price them between $8-$12. You could even do some stamping on the inside pages and stick some handmade book marks in the pockets. That’s what I would do. :) Hope that helps.

Oh I’m so super excited!!! It took checking a couple of local Walmart stores, but after my oil change today I found the half composition books!! The store had a bunch, so I didn’t feel too guilty for grabbing 5 packs!! I'm new at crafting, and was wondering what you cut your paper for the front and back. The front is pretty easy to figure out, just not sure about how long the paper was to be able to fold it over on the inside of the front, & back covers. Hope this question makes sense. Tyfs! 💁🥰👍
