I watch so many DIYers who do the same neutral things. These are so creative!

These projects all came out lovely. Love the wood box look after oven cleaner. I’ll have to try it. I thought the book rack would also look great holding a rolling pin.

The recipe book stand and the recipe box are amazing! They will go great together. The book stand/ rack at the end is also gorgeous! I’m not a big fan of the idea of using easy off to remove stain but I do have to admit the results were beautiful.
@AngelNichole14 күн бұрын
Thank you!! 😊 I like the easy off method because I can’t handle strong chemicals like paint strippers.

All these projects are very clever, but my fave is how you turned those hideous1970s wood candle sconces into cute shelves. Next time I stumble across some of those I'm going to try what you've done. It wears me out when people come into my kitchen and plunk their keys and their nasty cell phones onto my clean countertops! I could put hooks on the vertical part of the science for keys. Thank you so much for the inspiration! ❤

Is that fan the Baby Shark one? My grandkids have that one. 😂 I love the clock stencil! Where did you find it? Have you ever tried using shoe polish to antique your projects? Just wondered if that would work.

😂 no it’s just a regular one, but that’s funny! Thank you! The stencil is from Amazon! I have it linked 😊 I’ve never tried shoe polish! Interesting!

Hi Angel I thought I left a comment already but I cannot find it. All of these are so good. I don’t know how to pick a favorite. I love neutrals however I am really enjoying me some color right now, especially moody colors. I have a question though. I really love the look of vintage/antique books and I have several but I don’t seem to have good thrifting or affordable antiques in my town at all. I don’t mind driving but I am a host home provider for my uncle and another man with developmental disability’s. So they go to adult daycare M-F so I can leave by 8am and I have to be back to pick them up by 5pm. So 9 hrs and at least 4 hrs round trip driving to and from the area leaves me an exhausting 5 hrs of going back and forth to different stores trying to go in some kind of order. It’s really hard to do that except on occasion which is exactly how often I can do this. You could have a video I can’t find on this but can you coffee/ tea stain the sides of book pages without wrinkling them? Also any advice to get a color you want on the binding and still have or create a realistic looking title? Any help or to add this to a video using old or $Tree books would be amazing.
@AngelNichole7 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😊 you can coffee/tea stain the book pages, but it will warp them unfortunately. I’d recommend using some antiquing wax instead. I did some dollar tree books with antiquing wax a few years back in a Christmas video and it works without the pages wrinkling. As for the spine, I suggest stamping if you want to add a title or some pretty details ❤️
