Hi Sarah! Love your channel! Smokey tugs at my heart…I’m a crazy cat lady! Love those paws! Thank you for sharing him in your videos! I would most definitely go with the soapstone! I chose a slab that had some whitish veining but not busy at all, mostly black. Yes, it certainly is a considered purchase! But I know I haven’t regretted making the purchase! Soapstone elevates your kitchen in a simplistic way! They would be a perfect match for the style of your home, which is absolutely beautiful! I love each transformation you’ve made along the way! The little candlesticks are so cute😊 If you find some tiny candles, please share..i have a pretty etched brass candlestick that also needs a tiny candle and I've had no luck finding one🫤 The basket with the pothos looks so good hanging from the peg rail! It's quite funny, when Smokey was bathing, mine kitty was laying on the foot of my bed doing the same thing😄 I was just telling her she needed to get on the floor right when you shared! Guess its just that time of day😄 I absolutely love that cutting board❤ Not sure what's new.. maybe the bookshelves or secretary?🤷‍♀️ I love the secretary, soon as we move into a bigger home I'm going to be looking for one! I would absolutely choose soap stone over the granite. It’s not as busy as granite and it is a vintage statement and worth the time to install 😊 So glad to hear that karrie is coming back soon. Have really missed her channel and her postings The horse lithograph or etching is very charming

Hi Sarah! Love the entry. It gets better and better. Can’t wait to see your new chairs. I’m wanting to redo my kitchen counters also. For a few years now. Considered several options but for sure thinking stone. Soapstone is one of my favorites. My kitchen is not Hugh so I think the cost is well worth the enjoyment of it. I think it’s a timeless look. Hi Sara, I just recently watched Andrea's KZbin video at pine and prospect home about changing out her countertop in the kitchen. She too said she loved soapstone but it was expensive. So she chose a honed granite that looked similar to soapstone but cost alot less. You should watch that video. I think it may help with your decision on the countertop. Hers turned out gorgeous. Love your videos, so relaxing and inspiring.

In my opinion, if you've loved soapstone forever, then nothing else will do. I can promise you that once you do it; you won't regret it! It's just hard pulling the proverbial "trigger" and spending that kind of money, but I always say, "Do it right the first time, and you won't have to waste time and money later doing what you you wished you would've done to start with!

New Castle,PA where Shenango Pottery is my home town. The pottery went out of business years ago so that was an amazing find. Shenango pottery is not always easy to find. Enjoy them 😊

I had soapstone countertops and I wouldn’t do it again. Too much maintenance. Instead, you should look for honed black granite they make to look just like soapstone but it’s easy to care for. It’s beautiful! Good luck!
