The shelf dividing the bedroom and living room is such a great open floor plan idea for small spaces! I particularly love putting a curtain back there for added privacy and softness. I use a smaller book shelf similarly to separate my entrance from the rest of my studio.

I too, think a busy fridge is a happy fridge! I actually collect old tarnished silver little plates and saucers ..glue a magnet to the back... and cut pictures of my family to fit them. I have different shapes, only on the freezer top portion with a tiny sign that says BLESSED. Its a conversation starter. I love those blue tea cups over the sink in the cupboard. I have been in my small home for 52 years and have always kept my most used pot and pans in the oven. I just find it so convenient. The built in book shelf is perfect to define the spaces, yet let it feel open. Adding the curtains lends a nice soft diffusing light. You really styled it so nicely. The corner cupbaord in the bathroom is perfect!!!! And all your furniture pieces seem so intentional to the space. Well done!

Beautiful cottage styles, relaxed but so stylish! I have lots of beautiful pebbles and shells also.......a little tip if you want to get the stones and pebbles to shine and be more vibrant like they are when they are wet...you can either coat them in clear matt polyurethane varnish or clear nail polish......the colours of the pebbles come alive! Dandelions keep certain bugs away and when in abundance, means that the garden area is healthy!

New subscriber here, I love your little cottage, I will call it a cottage and the warmth you have created in a 'rental" is amazing when I was a renter, I still wanted my home to be a reflection of me and my decor style as well as a place to enjoy the cozy style I tried to create. Fast forward, I now live in a very small house I bought and it reflects all my personal style and when I come home, I am really "home"...in what state is your little cottage?
