fyi if one did ask the other out we might not know at first and from what i've seen, it might not even be immediately obvious once they do, if they decide to keep it private at first. also i could totally see them being the kind of couple that alternates between inseparable romance and ragging on each other endlessly. and those kinds of couples tend to last too - i used to be in such a relationship myself (life forced us apart over long distances despite our best efforts to stay together sadly)
