Hello sir great stuff. And by chance do sell any of the long pieces of the bark?
@SculptorRon7 жыл бұрын
A this time I have no bark to sell. I can only get to it in the spring/summer. The fires from the summer of 2017 and earlier burned up many trees where I get the bark. I'm hoping to find some in the spring of 2018.

Hey Ron, do you sell that bark? I have bought smaller pieces of cottonwood bark off of e-bay, but boy would it be nice to have a few of them huge chunks
@SculptorRon11 жыл бұрын
Selling Cottonwood bark, yes I sell it when I have it. Right now I'm waiting for the snow to melt. Hopefully I'll have some in June.

@ruggedcutter Mike I was wishing I had you and your expertise along with me on that one. I measured the stump and it was 2 inches shy of 7 feet. Took me about 5 hours to notch the front, get the bar unstuck, dodge the bees and bandage up my hand..

Ron, I see you can appreciate what a timber Faller goes through on a daily bases! The best way to combat yellow jackets is pouring saw gas on the hive. fantastic bark, I'm glad nothing serouse happened due to the rotten tree center.

i do hope that tree was sick... cutting down a tree just for its bark is a sin!
@DavidB-rx3km8 жыл бұрын
isa zago it's completely hollow
@jkhall96656 жыл бұрын
isa zago . Sin is what horrible things we do to ourselves, to others. Sin is not cutting down a plant. It was rotten. Now it can live forever.

No cotton wood grows like a weed. And, they don’t ordinarily last very long. He did just the right thing.

Pretty sure he said it was hollow. Just sayin.

Unless that tree was sick or harboring something that would harm the other trees I can't imagine why you would cut down a perfectly well tree......time to find another way to make a living......shame on you.

This is a good way to make a living. Shame on you for your ignorance.
