Russ, go down the road you passed (on the way into Cottonwood Cove) where the powerlines are. Turn right at the powerlines instead of going straight. Youll pass an interesting little cemetary on your right...continue down to 6 Mile Cove Rd. Turn left and itll bring you right down to a gorgeous beach you can boondock on, right on the water! Much nicer than Telephone Cove! Would love to see you video 6 Mile Cove!

In the twenty-seven years I lived in Bullhead, I only went to Cottonwood twice. It’s a gorgeous place. I left the area in 11, and it’s good to see this beautiful cove again. Love that rich blue desert sky. Thanks for this post.

It's always fun when we get to, check it out ,nice job again rus, never seen lake Mojave . this is more like a lake . Mead is very intimidating, more like an ocean. especially way back when it was full now it's flat out scary because you don't know what's gonna poke up from under the water.😎

Suggestion of another video: Just south of Searchlight is a very rough access to Christmas Tree Pass and Grapevine Canyon. It’s a stunning drive with amazing views. Many access the Pass and Canyon from just west of Laughlin, but I found the views even more stunning going from south of Searchlight. Just a suggestion I hope you’ll consider.

There are plenty of names of places referring to mining in Nevada, like "Searchlight", "Goldfield" or "Pioche" (pick axe in French). Now at least, Clark County has a place where you can get near the water. Nice Fall weather in the Las Vegas vicinity too. Beautiful, colorful video, as usual, Sir. Cheers ! RICHARD

Just did that drive from Vegas to Yuma, and back. It would be a service to the viewers to show all of ag crops in the middle of the desert, e.g., Blythe. I would love to see some drone shots. After all, those crops, and others like it, are the major culprit for Lake Mead failing. That would almost be investigative journalism on your part, but with actual pics/vids. Just found your channel & enjoy the ride alongs. Thank you!

We had a LMNRA park ranger do a presentation for our boat owners assoc on Mohave, she commented that lake Mohave is considered a pass-thru lake and not storage like Mead or Powell, and it can’t go below 20’ of full water or it would affect the structural integrity of the earthen dam. Lake Havasu was even less, something like like -10 or -15’ max seasonal drop. FYI

Why is it called Searchlight?.... when George Frederick Colton was looking for gold in the area on May 6, 1897, he supposedly said that it would take a searchlight to find gold ore there.
