I have ~170 roux hatching in a few days, starting a sex-link program for hatching feeder quail. Cull males early, grow out hens.

Terry I need to know how to make a hatching tray like you have with a top to keep the chicks from jumping out. I am working on building your incubator 240 eggs. I love the design. but I am new to the hobby so I have been working very hard on this. so far I have spent a big fortune of money. hahaha. this hobby was suppose to be low cost. hahaha. I am still a long way from buying feed for them. which is the big expense. but it is challenge and tons of fun. I am working my butt off to get this running before deep winter shows up in new england home. since i live alone i can do the incubation indoors if I ever get it made. I am definitely making an incubator and separate hatcher. and i need dimensions on a hatcher. either to buy or to make. I see that type of hatcher on the expensive $1000++ incubators and hatchers. but no one seems to be selling them to the public. and i can not afford an arm and a leg for a simple hatcher box. it seems that they are using plastic boxes with a top and big holes in the walls bottom and top so the air flow can go through the box to keep the chicks warm. the idea of making a box from metal hardware cloth is not my choice. the plastic seems much better to me. so where to buy plastic with big holes in it. hahaha. bye the way back at your original video on 240 egg build. everyone is asking for video on how to make the hatching boxes. no word as yet that i have seen.
