I am so happy that you produce these types of videos. I just started looking into selective breeding and establishing a strong line recently and these videos of yours have been about the only ones I can find!

Interesting about the white box because their eggs would blend in The white egg brown spots would look like the ground

We had the power flicker off for a min and our baby quail a single mind you Almost dround in a bottle cap full of water like a small water bottle cap Poor thing hubby tipped him upside down and he spit the water up we massaged its belly and it was better in no time until it did it 3 more times lol it was the last to hatch and had leg issues even though it had pine shavings to walk on I think the humidity for the last hatch was too dry... And being last to hatch it could have genetic issues I sold the baby chicks but one extra hatched so it was a weakling by itself It did pass away but we tried....

What role does heat play in the sex of the babies. I currently have a 70-30% male to female ratio. I have been told to reduce my temp a little from 99.5 degrees. Any truth to this and if so how much do i reduce it?

What would happen if I breed my Tibetan hen with a scarlet rooster?
@brandongreene96153 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry she’s not a Tibetan. She is a Grau Fee

Brandon Greene Grau-Fee is either Rosetta or Tibetan + Fee. They can either be heterozygous or homozygous for Fee. Scarlet is Rosetta + Roux. Your results may vary a bit depending on exactly what your Grau-Fee is made up of (whether it’s hetero or homozygous for EB and Fee). But you’ll likely get mostly Rosetta and some Tibetan based offspring, some plain, some with Roux (making them Scarlet) and some heterozygous Fee (making them Grau-Fee, with some colour bleed through), and some a mix of Roux and Fee. You could also end up with some Pharaoh based offspring, in Roux (making them Egyptian) and Fee (making them Falb-Fee). Whilst Roux and Fee can mix, they kind of work against each other. Fee strips red/brown/yellow, leaving only black and white. Whereas Roux turns black into a reddish tan.

Q. Can the eggs that do not hatch be eaten or should they be discarded?
