I wanted to ask, while using a moisture meter what number should it drop to before watering the plant?

I wait until it reads 1. Generally I go by this: 1 to 1.5 or 1 to 3: Your potting medium is close to dry. 2 to 3.5 or 3.5 to 7.5: your potting medium is slightly dry to lightly moist. 4 to 5 or 8 to 10: Your potting medium is very wet.
