Hi Coty. I've just started acrylic painting and I really like the layered look. What would happen if you let each layer dry before painting the next layer? Can you do this same painting with dried layers and see what the difference is?

Try using a rubber squeegee. Plexiglass is too stiff, so it can’t spread the paint the way you wait.

Great painting,,, a couple of pieces of dowel that you could put into the bench would give you something to stop the canvas moving

Hi there, have you tried a silicone mat to lay your canvas on? That would help your problem with sliding most likely. :)

I remember you saying that you loved Jesus in another video of yours? If yes, you might want to try doing an abstract painting(s) inspired by verses from the Bible. For example, the burning bush that commanded Moses to take off his sandals ... the angel of death flying over those who refused to obey ... even the Proverbs and Psalms individually provide much inspiration.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve actually made a few based on things like this. The caveat is that not all my ideas for the paintings themselves come to me like that, they come in waves. But I painting as a whole an act of worship and I’m grateful to even be able to do it. Thanks for watching.
