@@OptimizedPortfolio I would like to suggest a future video with an 80/20 allocation between an SP500 ETF and a NASDAQ 100 ETF. It would be very nice to see a backtest of this strategy, considering that it have been rebalanced periodically. Thanks again.

@@raphaelyounes4308 I'd probably never suggest such a strategy. That would be concentrated in about 40% tech right now.

Great video, thank you for the explanation as his website has a vast library of info. I am going to try this for my investing to reduce risk and time

Great video! Amazing how well a simple strategy can do. The only simpler seems to be ‘VOO and chill’.

Thank you for the Great explanation as always. You said in few minutes what other said in long videos. Keep it that way. I'm Europe based, and have always to translate the US Ticker to EU Ticker. Now the content; with or without potate it just another W Buffet portfolio, he said 90% VOO (could be IVV) and 10% T-Bills. Someone who wants lower volatility, decrease the 90% and increase the 10% (EU based, that 10% or more can be done with Government Bond's from all Europe or from one Country, that's all).

Burns published the Couch Potato Portfolio back in 1995 in the Dallas Morning News where he worked as a financial reporter. The CPP surfaced under different names by different people since then, the latest one being by JL Collins in his very popular book, which Burns should have written back in 1995. Warren Buffett may have created the first CPP when he advised investors to use the S&P 500 index + short term Treasuries, a portfolio he also recommended for his wife, after his death.

could you tell me what JL Collins called it? I have his book, but haven't read that yet.

Bogle also suggested 50/50, though not in any official text IIRC.

@@OptimizedPortfolio - Bogle said he went to 50-50 a few years after the 2001-2002 bear market. That 50/50 stayed the same until he passed away.

thanks for the effort and sharing. it is hard to argue with growth vs less risk. i wonder how a typical 60/40 asset split would fare? i am an appreciative subscriber. thumbs up.
@OptimizedPortfolio5 ай бұрын
60/40 is thought to be a great balance of risk and expected return.
