The Japan comparison totally sold me on Switzerland. Dunno why, have never been to Japan. Maybe just knowing there is good TP is comforting.

Because We Camp Quite possibly the most understanding thing anyone has ever said to me. 😥(where's the tears of happiness emoji?)

Mother nature was holding you back from further snowballing La Strada lol! Would be nice if Eric Estrada would meet you guys... Enjoy your trip, and I hope you can make it to England if possible :)

Yea we got pretty lucky coming through the pass. At first, we were going to take an extra week getting to Switzerland from Italy, but the weather reports keep looking really good in Switzerland, and we didn't want to miss that window of decent road conditions, so we made a B line for the alps haha. Sadly we'll have to save England for the next round as we've since moved on to Russia, but it just gives us a reason to return.... in summer 😂

Because We Camp The main thing is living the experience because we all only have one life only, and must make the best of it. Stay safe out there... Russia sounds interesting & reminds me of Russian youtuber Ilia Bondarev... I mention him so you check out his crazy travels on the cheap. I was thinking maybe after he's done with his South America trip, and you guys finishing your Europe trip maybe can consider doing a joint travel adventure next Year with him Across all of Russia :) Cheers

HOW DID HE KNOW I'M NOT WEARING PANTS. That suspension bridge looked crazy! I don't think I would be able to get Danny to walk on it hahah.
@becausewecamp7 жыл бұрын
Haha, As someone who spends a large portion of his time in front of screens without pants on, I would chalk it up to instincts😆 And yea, the bridge was actually a bit freaky lol. How we always end up on stuff like that I'll never know...

The swaying is what would freak me out! Heights, eh, kind of unnerving. But oh man, the swaying would be what would get to me. Haha, you're adventurers, it's what you guys do! I'm just glad you take your camera along. :D
@becausewecamp7 жыл бұрын
haha yea for sure the swaying was the worst part. It was funny watching the locals walk over it like nothing lol

Enjoyed Lynne and the depth of the snow. Haven't done Switzerland. Although I think you are near Zermatt and the Matterhorn (wern't you at Visp?)
@becausewecamp7 жыл бұрын
Hehe yea I enjoyed watching her in the snow too (especially wearing Nikes...). Yea we were staying in Visp and actually did make it to Zermatt, but the Matterhorn was hidden behind some serious clouds... 😂

It would be nice if you could show us the interiors of the train, especially the restroom. You could visit the local museums, which are probably free admissions. Next time you buy clothes or anything, show us a video of you bargaining. Show us the shops, streets, whatever they sell, etc. If you could make videos of the programming skills that you had learned at work, or sharing any useful programming skills, they would make interesting videos.

The further north you travel, the more expensive it will get. If you think Japan and Switzerland are expensive, you are in for a shock if you go to Scandinavia.

Yea we got a taste of this in Denmark, the food prices were totally insane. But we've since moved on to Russia where cheap options are a thing again hehe

Already been through a couple of times hehe. We really liked it though, everyone was very helpful. Yet another place in Europe that we'll have to come back to in summer :)

There is a coinciding since I was in Switzerland a few days ago on my life-changing journey to ASIA. I wanted to kiss the ground of my European ancestors, but I was stuck in the airport, so I could not reach the earth, and then when I was in Shanghai, I wanted to kiss Asia, but the air was extremely dirty IN the airport, so I didn't even want to leave the airport in my long layover there. Now I'm in Cambodia running out of money, and I'm watching other people run out of money.
@becausewecamp7 жыл бұрын
Oh no!!! Quick, go to www.workaway.info/ and find a volunteer opportunity in Cambodia so that you can pick up some skills and then stay longer. Lots of hostels and schools are always looking for people to help and it's a great thing to put on a resume - good luck to you!! - Lynn
@becausewecamp7 жыл бұрын
Haha, there's a lot of good stuff in the comment! If I had to pick the perfect place to slowly run out of money, Asia would be it, have a blast!
@barbatvs89597 жыл бұрын
Since I am awake when China is awake, I should be able to get a job teaching on Palfish, so I still have rational hope. Thanks, but volunteering doesn't seem like a good idea for my situation because I need a job to renew my visa, since I need a work permit to show I should keep getting a work visa which is the extendable one. I had just gone to give my CV to a school when I find out that everyone there was volunteering. But I have given my CV to several already. I even shaved, because people are superficial. At least it made me look whiter, which helps I heard. I was gonna teach someone Spanish, but it turns out she's already at my level if not above... 'cause she's Asian, and Asians study like crazy so their grammar is impeccable. There's always an Asian doing it better. And I underestimated Cambodia. I assumed it would be like Honduras where I'm from but with language, racial and religious differences. The biggest difference is how many people there are in the capital at least. I was hanging onto a motorcycle like a monkey remembering my mortality, and looked around me and thought: "I'm finally surrounded by Asians. My life is complete. Sort of." Especially those Asian women. I love it that everyone is my size. It makes me feel normal even though I'm always a misfit in a benign way. PS I forgot to say that when I flew to Switzerland, I had first gone over France, but the French were hiding like cowards behind the clouds.
