Only issues I have is I bought the S5 Ultra and they killed some of the apps that made it "Ultra"... Then on live TV sometimes the channel freezes then I have to reset it, but On Demand content I never have an issue, other than busy streams cab take a few tries before it starts playing, but once it does it works great!

Yeah those apps were through a third party such as Elite Services so they had no warning from what I was told. I think they could have stepped up like vseebox did and added all the apps back.

We check every box we test for all types of virus and malware before we do anything and have not had any backdoors etc. there were some clone boxes we bought from a china website that did have malware that we reported and they have been removed. I cannot say that some TV boxes don't have it but have never seen it on any of the fully loaded boxes we have reviewed as of yet. Thanks for the input, it helps us all!

Jim i have an older Superbox that i got to rewatch boxing ppv. I found that the Blue app would start in the middle of the event so I was never able to watch the complete event. Do you know if you are now able to watch the complete event from the beginning?

First don't get hung up on internet speed, to many people rule it out because the speed test instead quality of internet. Are you running a quality VPN this has helped a ton of users. Are you trying to view 4K services? is it doing it with live, VOD etc.

I have had packages I shipped say the same until two days after delivery and then it just said Delivered. Right now the USPS is saying allow upto 15 days due to holiday season. so I guess hang in there where ever you purchase from.

I have super box S5 pro. Here’s the bottom line is they work pretty well 75% of the time that these reviews can’t tell. After you have them and use them you will find these things will freeze at various times , no rhyme or reason but could be in the middle of a movie , or worse great sports game . Sometimes come back in seconds and sometimes they don’t , you need to go out and in , or turn off and on or the usual BS with unreliable tech. So I bought the Vsee box , same stuff different although I would say it’s 80 to 85% reliable . Bottom line is it’s certainly cheeper than cable but absolutely not as reliable . Don’t care about all this tech speek stuff , real world use reliability is what I care about . I have an antenna and use this for VOD and live cable type TV but make no mistake these things are quirky . Are they worth 200-250 to loose cable , sure . More than that I don’t know very aggravating when your watching game , 4th qtr , 2 min to go and these things freeze up or channel is not available temporarily. I am not sure what kind of behind the scenes techs are working on these problems when they occur live time given no monthly fee. That’s my review without the tech speak jargon, get antenna for sure to augment these things .

I agree, but there are so many reasons why there is buffering and freezing with any streaming system, You failed to mention how Netflix screwed up a huge boxing match etc. I was on netflix last night watching a movie and it froze a few times through it. Back to there are many reasons why it happens but the quickest thing is to blame the box or service it provides. Just saying! and as always I do appreciate the conversation you started, that's what we need more of.

@ Sure Netflix live event was botched as it’s not their thing but I have had very few if any streaming there content . As I said I have the Superbox and the Vsee 3 . When the Superbox freezes and I am trying to watch something I go to the Vsee box. Same internet , same show or event and it comes on so it’s not my internet or environment . Having said that do I think it’s worth the $250 or so to have it work 75, 80% of the time as intended , versus 150 bucks a month for other more reliable services , sure . It’s just people should realize this is what will happen with these things . The big question is without subscription fees what type of support is going on behind the scenes to keep them going ? I have no clue but so far have had both about 6 months , I supplement with Antenna and only one streaming service Netflix which is cheep . I do like the Superbox guide better but it is more quirky than the Vsee in my mind thus the reliability differences in my experience.

Same hardware. Only difference is software and it’s the timeshift feature. Which is only on certain channels and it’s slow. Stick to S5.

Recently purchased the 2024 ONN 4k Pro Media Box for $50 from Walmart. Hasi 3gb ram, 32gb disk space, usb, and ethernet ports, remote glows in the dark, and it has an find my remote feature. Runs on Android 12. This box is awesome. Pair with a good IPTV service, and you are all set. Don't pay stupid money for the superbox.

Hi Jim. I just purchased a S6 Max. I want to port it to my ChannelsDVR server to integrate my tv & video experience in one place. In order to do that, I need the URL for the superbox channel m3u playlist to customize before porting to ChannelsDVR. Where can I find the URL or address for the Blue TV guide and Blue VOD? This is usually a M3U playlist.

They could have updated those customers with the new time shift function as sort of compensation instead of pretending nothing happened. Just left a bitter taste...

I always enjoy your reviews. My boxes (and many from the S2 Pro to the Elite 3) are working great. Hell, I even have the Monsterbox that works great. My Tanggula X5 Pro is some-timing (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't). I may add this box to my collection.
