Fact: King Warick and Queen Iona were originally supposed to be British, but Jason, who does serious character work on his own, came to our first rehearsal for the first Couchville and started talking with a Scottish accent. It kind of threw everyone off at first, but we loved it so much, we made the entire Couchville kingdom speak Scottish!

What are you all talking about? I play golf in my nightstand (their monarchs let me have a part of their land after I let them have my old iPad) along with the people of my sisters gaming chair every other wednesday, and I talk to the car seat chief every once in a while, and I donate some spelling books onto the doormat so they can learn basic English, and I might make a castle under my rug next to the nightstand. I learned a lot from this series, and I now respect the furniture continent that somehow fits into my house. I don’t get how this is weird to some people. I still need to tell my parents though..

The couchville trilogy is honestly my favourite thing ever. I love the details, like the message given to the doormat peasants is a tag from an ottoman. I also love the hilarious plotholes, like how the people of couchville have at least somewhat constructed their clothing out of sofa junk minus the kilts, and the others have said f all and worn full culturally accurate ensembles which they got from god-knows-where (well who know what Matt drops around the place, that could explain it all really). Ps: also sorry for forgetting Matt’s characters name
