A deployed AI does not learn. The learning process takes large data centers worth billions of dollars. A single task takes millions of "example" cases and days to months of processing time. Once developed, it is sent out to the user device and executed. Without being rules oriented, it is blind to something it hasn't seen before. Tesla's autopilot running into stopped emergency vehicles is a good example. Even with bright blinking lights, not included in the training, not stopping.

Very true! Someone should start capturing the data NOW.

Air planes r already run by A.I a lot of plane crashes occur because the auto pilot systems will actually lock out the human pilot from gaining full control of the aircraft . The computer systems have fault systems designed to fix the aircraft but if there is a fault in the auto pilot systems it can lead to the airplane correcting the wrong issues that are actually occurring

Who is going to use your service if you push everyone to unemployment, AI? No one talks about what other employment opportunities will open up if all jobs are handed over to AI... Will the society be like the movie WallE? Anyway AI is a random prediction and it's very far off from gaining such high confidence on such complex machines like an airplane, this should also come with very high level of regulations and not just metrics like accuracy, f1 etc..

I’m a 35 year professional pilot and I’m at the 8 minute mark. Already 2 major factual discrepancies. 1. Yes the Hudson landing was awesome and showed great ingenuity by the awesome pilot… who almost lost his license in the inquiry for not making the decisions a computer would have made. The company wanted to bust him for not returning to land at the available airport. The pilot was great but a computer would have been better. So much so that it was part of his defense. 2 ‘An autopilot can only do what it’s been programmed’ was a true statement a year or two ago. My Tesla’s autopilot hasn’t been programmed to stop at a red light or to choose a parking spot but it does. So can a planes autopilot. Advances are being made at light speed! I hope this gets better.
