Not Tonight (Remix) is easily one of if not my favorite hip hop of all time. But it took me years to realize the Angie Martinez on this song is the same Angie Martinez on (or at least was) The Breakfast Club 😭😭🤦🏽♀️Granted, I started listening to the song bc of Left Eye who was my favorite TLC member. I loved the video bc Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige was there lol. But I’ve grown to love both the song and MV bc everyone involved

Angie was a personality from our era and it came with the territory, like hey Angie your a cute PR mommy you work at a hip hop station …start rapping . She’s a staple in New York City and in hip hop . Yo ANGIE !!!!!!!!!

Beautiful, humble. Nice voice. Either way, she wins. Ladies' night is historical in female rap. She stayed in a primarily black lane. You gotta respect her for that. Salute to one of the pioneers.
