I remember her short rap career and I got to say, tho short, she did better then a lot of other people who just rap and I enjoyed her songs myself. I remember the song she did with Prodigy from Mobb Deep, that one was my favorite of hers

I know she took time off when she was dating Nokio and they had a baby together.... She also got in a car crash in like 2019 angie was cool as a rapper her voice is everything and she held her own on ladies night with all those vets 💙💙

Beautiful, humble. Nice voice. Either way, she wins. Ladies' night is historical in female rap. She stayed in a primarily black lane. You gotta respect her for that. Salute to one of the pioneers.

Not Tonight (Remix) is easily one of if not my favorite hip hop of all time. But it took me years to realize the Angie Martinez on this song is the same Angie Martinez on (or at least was) The Breakfast Club 😭😭🤦🏽‍♀️Granted, I started listening to the song bc of Left Eye who was my favorite TLC member. I loved the video bc Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige was there lol. But I’ve grown to love both the song and MV bc everyone involved
