Saying Virat and Rohit in the same bracket is a massive disrespect to the Test Cricketer Virat is. Murli Vijay, Pujara and even Rahane have better Test Records than Rohit Sharma away from Home. Apart from a Solitary Century in England, Rohit doesn't have the stats neither the age on his side to be in this Test Team. He was and still is a good Limited overs Cricketer. Never a Test Cricketer.

stats dont say so he has a smaller sample size compared to everyone other than virat, and obviously just one overseas ton, but his avg is similar/better than most other openers for india even overseas

agree. we shuldn't put rohit n virat together bcz virat has been pathetic since 2020. so its been 5 years now but rohit has been pathetic in last 2.5 series. he had led team and score more than 400 runs in last india vs eng in march 2024. so he only failed this season n time to retire him now but kohli has been pathetic fro 5 years now but still shamelessly playing. a man who is not proud on his country n living in england, how can he represent our country.

My XI for mcg in the batting order: YJ, Rahul, Sundar, Virat, Pant, Rohit, Jaddu, Nitish, A Deep, Prasidh, Bumrah If needed, only the positions can be swapped between Sundar and Nitish but certainly not the personnel. Gill does not seem to have that technique to weather the storm against the moving deliveries and Boland will have wood on him at Mcg Folks,are you with me?

NKR has to be replaced by Prasidh. Former's bowling is cannon fodder. NKR has not exactly set the world on fire with his batting either, he has done OK but yet to score even a half century. He ramped a short ball from Cummins to third man when he had just been placed for exactly that shot. That shows his alertness as a batter is questionable.
