Apollomon is a memeber of the death generals and the Olympus 12. As well as azulongmon being a sovereign and a member of the four great dragons. I don’t see why they can’t be in two groups. Love the picks!

I think the decision to add Digimon that originate from other groups is totally valid. Looking at it from the lens of superhero comics, characters hop between different teams or are even in multiple teams all the time. With a lore heavy world I think that this is totally warranted

First, all these choices are absolutely on point. You are a man of impeccable taste. I've had an idea for a Digimon "Team"/"Group" bouncing around in my head for a week or so now. Basically a group of Digimon that oppose Yggdrasil's/King Drasil's Will but aren't outright Evil. Victorygreymon and Zeedgarurumon fit the bill best in my head.

I've been working on something similar, basically a group of Megas set up to combat the Royal Knights because Yggy has gone too far (again.) The only Knight I don't need to make a counter for is Alphamon, and this group also might even been set up by him. So far I have Tactimon and Darkdramon as loose partners as counterparts to Leopardmon and Crusadermon. Tactimon and Leopardmon are brilliant tacticians who are also excellent swordsmen, and Darkdramon and Crusadermon are leaders of their respective armies, the D-Brigade and the Knightmons. I picked Titamon as a counterpart to Examon, as they would both be the gigantic beaters of both groups. I also have Gaiomon as a counterpart to Craniamon, since the two of them seemed the most likely to want to have a fair, 1v1 duel. I've thought of using Rapidmon Gold and Omnimon Alter-S as counters for Magnamon and Omnimon, but I'm not exactly sure how good I feel about those, and the rest of the Knights I'm not sure on.

I think going for more non humanoids type digimon makes more sense when dealing with groups that are more linked to aspects of the world/nature itself so beast type digimon would make more sense. The Royal knights and Olympus 12 are more based on rulership so them being humanoids makes more sense. Also lets be fair there are plenty of digimon groups that has mostly humanoid members and not that many with more beast type digimon

I had the idea that if 1 of the seven seas gets really sick or injured then a backup substitute member of the team takes their role temporarily until the actual member of the team get better or heals from their wounds. Backup members like olegmon, plesiomon, vikemon, deckerdramon, marine chimeramon, tylomon, waruseadramon, that sort of thing.

Really like the picks for this group. Especially the inclusion of Surfimon. The dude needs some representation. I would personally like the inclusion of Vikemon just to show some love to gomamon. Maybe he'd be the land ambasador to the most water based team. But I dont know who I'd replace him with. These pick are really good and would love to see this be made official

Really nice concept, really want to see more of that. Props for getting Regalescusmon in there, I really like it. Would have been funny to have Omnimon in there, because he is in so many fields. Also, I don't think being in multiple groups should be an issue, because you have the case of Azulongmon, who is in both the Four Holy Beasts and the Four Great Dragons at the same time.

In the case of Azulongmon his inspiration(Qinglong(the Azure Dragon) in Chinese Mythology) is one of the Four Sacred Beasts(The inspiration for the Sovereigns) and one of the four Dragon Gods/Kings of the four seas(the inspiration for the Great Dragons). So that's just carried over from his Mythological Inspiration.

An awesome idea: giving a group for each major field or faction. There was a lot of maybe/maybe not to this one, though, maybe one thing that can help solidify choices for the group is tying each member to specific symbols or themes, like how each Olympos 12 is a Greco Roman god, or the Royal Knights matching up to Arthur's Knights of the Round Table. For example, the obvious one for the Virus Busters will probably be the 7 Virtues, and if the team is selected by matching them up to each virtue, it will help cut out some guesswork. In this case, the mons could have been matched to represent aspects of a given sea, like Reglucus being matched to a sea known for pirate activity, etc. Can't wait to see more of these!

Digimon being in multiple groups is fine: Azulongmon is in both the Great Dragons and 4 Sovereigns. Also if you're doing "What if X had their own royal knight / Oympos 12 group", videos and you want to cover what if there were a group of Aztec/Prehispanic themed Digimon like how those are Norse/Medevial and Greco-Roman themed, or like how the Devas are Buddhist/Hindu, then I'd be down to help out! I've offered this before like 20 times, and It'd definitely require custom art, but I regularly do giant multi page posts on Mesoamerican history and archeology and would be interesting in giving references, ideas, chipping in on design details, etc!

Regalecusmon is such a fantastic design. And honestly strikes me as the "Batman" of the Justice League, especially in recent (animated) versions, where he barely cares about the team, and is very prickly and rude to the team. Also, this team build idea is FANTASTIC! CANT WAIT FOR Metal Empire. I expect it to be basically "Royal Knights but modern weapons." Love this idea.

This was an especially interesting and enjoyable video of yours, Karn EX! I'm quite fond of the idea of a more aquatic equivalent of the Royal Knights and/or some kind of digimon organization! Especially with the inclusion of Aegisdramon as the Examon equivalent of sorts, as well as Jumbogamemon and Surfimon. As I certainly think that in their own interesting ways, they fit quite nicely as members of some kind of high ranking digimon team. Unsure if this has already been done on the channel, but a listings video on all prominent groups, royal knights, sovereigns, demon lards etc. within the digital universe would be a pleasant idea, giving a quick synopsis in their role in the digital world, any key figures in the group or main series appearances. There may be too many to list or would be better suited to a playlist compilation, but even a tier listing of your favorite groups would also be a good video to watch.

From what I remember, the Olympos 12 are in a different server compared to Yggdrail and the Royal Knights. As long as there isn't a Royal Knight used in one of these, I see no issue.

I like the idea of the JT being linked to a fey court or even both courts, the Seelie and Unseelie courts,... since jungle troopers even come in cute and noble or wild and almost rotting.

I love this idea! Definitely something I'd love to see more of! Perhaps a metal empire group would incorporate Metallicdramon as a peace-spreading member or someone who could quickly oversee any area of the domains and warn it's comrades that something bad is going down. Or Volcanicdramon ruling over volcanos and those in it's domain, including it's possible flocks of Lavogaritamon and other digimon. As the pre-evolutions are mostly mentioned to be kind and friendly, but will keep their distance for they know how destructive they can be. Kinda like the bewilderbeast dragon from HTTYD 2 guarding over it's sanctuary. Yes I'm biased toward these two, I adore them.

I’d be interested in seeing a team themed around the biggest baddest Insect-type Digimon based on this idea. “Rulers of the Hive,” or something of the sort.
