This does not explain that the claimed miracles show that they haven't been preserved in formaldehyde. You need to redo this. That is key. 😍

That really is the crux of the issue. It seems that the lack of peer review, and the lack of repeated study has sown a lot of doubt about these miracles. One also has to admit that it’s problematic that the people who performed the studies were practicing Roman Catholics. Within christendom, where we can assume honesty in the studies, this is fairly compelling, but from an atheistic skeptical point of view, I don’t think it’s that hard to understand why there could be a lot of reasons to doubt the validity of these things based on how the studies been done

I think any religion can host people who have done things to benefit humanity greatly, or people who can perform devastating atrocities. Regardless of the morality of the people within a religion, is a phenomenon we don't understand very well sufficient justification for belief in the existence of a deity?

There needs to be some opposing cross-examination here. Is the doctor an expert in distinguishing, for example, human from other primate tissue? Does he have expertise in the effects of natural mummification on heart tissues, and the effect of extreme age on samples? What tests did he do on the tissues? Is he relying on the ‘scientific’examination of 1971? Has he submitted his findings to peer review? Has he examined other examples of human cadavers that have been preserved using pre-modern techniques? One could go on and on. I also can’t help noticing that all the ‘experts’ referred to in evidencing these claims have Italian or Spanish i.e Catholic names.
