It would be absolutely AMAZING if F1 could race at Mt panorama. I'm from the US, deep south US at that. Normally you would expect someone like me to be a big time Nascar fan and to hate anything that goes left and right, especially considering I race a dirt track car at my local track. I have always loved anything with an engine (and I do mean engine, I am impressed with what the electric cars are capable of, but they're not my cup of tea in any flavor) race and got hooked on f1 and touring cars as a kid. We had a cable package that included the BBC and I remember watching Michael Schumacher and Mika Hackadon racing each other. This is where my love of Ferrari came from as well. Then to see the British touring cars race on all of those iconic circuits and old air fields was amazing to me. I loved how they were normal cars turned up to 11 and set loose to beat the crap out of each other, heck I even loved the big ol Lauries (not sure how y'all spell that over there, their big rigs or semis here) race around the same circuits. One of my favorites to watch though was the v8 super cars run around Bathurst. So to actually get f1 on one of my favorite tracks, would be such a dream come true for 7-13y/o me. That would be the absolute best.

I don’t see it happening. IndyCar is attractive to team owners, manufacturers, and sponsors due to its low cost compared to most other major series, not to mention the fact that it allows partners to zero in their spend on just two countries. A trip halfway around the world would spike those costs a considerable amount. With that being said I *could* see it happen if a sponsor was willing to foot the travel hills, and possibly make it a non-points all-star event.

Adelaide hasn't been 'ripped up'. Two things are preventing a return of the Adelaide 500 at the moment: 1. The state government has sold off all of the temporary infrastructure (pedestrian bridges, temporary grandstands etc.) and 2. The 'permanent' part of the circuit in Victoria Park is currently being used as a 24hr drive-thru COVID testing station (the pits/paddock area are occupied by a bloody great tent, entry and exit via the Senna S and the turn after the hairpin - If you see any footage of COVID testing in South Australia, it will inevitably be Victoria Park). The State Government opposition has promised to 'Bring Back the Adelaide 500' if elected, but have conveniently failed to mention where the money to purchase the replacement infrastructure will come from.

I don't understand why people don't talk about this race, it rained, cars crashed, a Reynard chassis won it's first time on track, and it got dark... so dark! That race had at least three F1 champions in it(and a future champ too), two stand on podium at end of race. The thing I can't figure out is how Mansell was rowing his manual gearbox, that's a sound I've never heard before or since. It's on KZbin

It’s just a bit of fun.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! Easy, tiges. Let's not go giving any of the powers that be any ideas yeah. I'm not moving to Brisvegas. It's too hot and I'm kind of a ginger. Brown hair but skin that looks like I had a spray tan through a flyscreen. Melbourne or maybe Radelaide if it absolutely had to move for F1 and Indy can go to Canberra if they want to come back and race here...it can be the world's only oval & street indi track seeing as the roads there are all circles.

Too short for F1. Townsville is even shorter. The Bend would be a more likely place for F1 to go to.

If F1 were to race there then there would be a lot of pieces of car left for the fans to grab after the race. 😀👍

I don't know if you'll cover this race at all in your North American Open Wheel split series, but CART attempted to run the 2002 Surfer's Paradise race in Spa-like weather and it went about as well as you'd expect. Black Flags Matter did a video on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inOyXnp5h7KGgKc

hope they do. Melbourne is a shite track [ even the revised layout ] and is a total bore fest.

Dang, I just became a Patreon member (only channel I am one on), and while I think it's cool they show you how much people donate each month, that's really kinda sad that's all you get. COME ON PEOPLE, SIGN UP, YOU CAN GIVE AS LITTLE AS A DOLLAR A MONTH.

Most likely the fastest line thru the curbs of death is to take it as a real double chicane and not try to skip the first turn.

The V8s straight line the first part so I just did it out of habit 🤣

If you could do one of these at mondello I'd hit the subscribe button

Looks like another Monaco (i.e. little or no overtaking). A bit pointless when F1 is trying to improve the show. If Monaco wasn’t....Monaco...they would have ditched it long ago

if f1 we re to change from melbourne it would go to tailem bend.

lol the indy cars were too big for the gold coast track. it was a single file procession. im from there. i was at the first one. the state gov runs on tourism (well it used to) so it throws money trying to show it self off on the world stage. its basically about the ego of the bid teams not the quality of event. yes they will throw millions at it. will the entertainment around the race be great, yes lots of cool local bands. will the racing be good - no. the tracks too small even for V8 Stuporcars which runs on it every year like an echo of past glory. its not wide enough for F1. Pits are too small. They might be able to configure a better track, but not where it is now.
