Could I be making any money from my offcuts, rustic drinks coasters maybe?

I'm going to try to use the bigger offcuts that I get from my pallet wood projects, to make some rustic drinks coasters, rather than throwing the scraps on to my wood burner, and try selling them for £1 at my next fair. One pound may not sound worth it, but as I said in the following video • How to price your item... , I've made plenty of decent sales in the past from someone who has initially picked up a really cheap item, and then once engaged, they pick up more expensive items.

How did the coasters sell for you? Perhaps if they were stacked in a small wood rack, and tied with a ribbon, they could be appealing as a gift?

They are actually one of my best sellers since I got a laser engraver and put our Isle of Man national emblem on one side. I'm only charging £1.50 each for them, and with the laser engraving included they take a ridiculous amount of time for that price, however it gets people opening their wallets at my stall, and that quite often leads to selling them a bigger more profitable item :-)
