Interestingly, during the early days of the bronze age someone tried making an obsidian sword to keep up with the times (bronze allowed for much longer knives/early swords) in Denmark. The obsidian was in sections, since making a whole blade out of it would have been impossible. Sort of like a Macuahuitl but much more sword-like. So you _can_ make a stone sword and people have clearly tried in the past, its just far from ideal.

I am not sure many people realize this but Steve probably is the strongest fictional character in general and exsistance. He can carry 64 gold bars in one hand and could Carry more than 30 64 bars of gold in his pockets or inventory. Now imagine if he Carry's blocks of gold which he could Carry more than 30 64 block of gold imagine how heavy that would be. And with shulker boxes he could Carry 27 64 stacks of gold blocks in one box and he could have in total 36 boxes of 27 slots of 64 stacks of gold blocks. Now imagine 36 boxes with 27 slots with 64 stacks of nether stars instead of gold blocks. I am not fully sure but nether stars are more or less compressed neutron stars which has a mass of about 1.4 solar masses which is about 2.784e+30kg for one nether star so 36 boxes with 27 slots with 64 stacks of nether stars Steve could probably punch the everyknown universe, multiverse, dimension and infinity and beyond lol

How big is a Minecraft sword in pixels? A block in Minecraft has been confirmed to be exactly 1 metre, and one metre is equal to 100 centimetres. Now, our block is exactly 16 pixels diagonally across. Now, our sword is not far behind at a 15 pixel diagonal length so a Minecraft sword is 3ft not 4 but good vid

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting the V2 to work that well. Like, I assumed a lot of blunt strength, sure, but the fact that it sliced so cleanly even at slow speeds (slow compared to real swords, I mean) was very surprising. Not practical by any stretch, of course, but very cool to see. Also, I'm a big fan of the V3 design, nice work on that as well 👍

funnily enough there really isn't anything particularly wrong with the design of guts's sword which is downright bizarre for a weapon in a manga, there's some impracticalities but they make a lot more sense in light of it's intended use...though why you'd use a sword at all for that is beyond me. the problem with it is exactly the problem stated in the manga: it's way the frack to damned heavy to actually use. and not just in a "you're not strong enough" problem, the dimensions vary a bit from image to image (mostly in thickness) but we're talking at _least_ ~200 pounds of material, usually more like 300+ meanwhile the heaviest sword ever reportedly actually used in combat was ~14 pounds, and that one was both intended to be purely decorative and claims of it's use can't be supported. funnily enough guts appears to start getting faster and more agile with all that extra weight from the armor added on later, he knows full well that sword is holding him WAY back but it's the only weapon around that can hold up to doing the job he needs it to do (remember that this guy is moving to fast for normal mercenaries to track him visually shortly before he switches to using his iconic weapon).

One issue I did notice right away is your hesitancy to follow through with your slashes with the swords, which will negatively affect the results as the sword isn't being tested to it's full capabilities.

@Louis Weisz this is just a tease. Did you know that each cube in minecraft is a 1 cubic meter long or about 3 cubic feet. comparing the normal minecraft sword to it, it's about 2 thirds of the block which is about 2 feet and or about 0.6 meters long, so about the normal length of a sword 60 centimeters.

I think on some of the horizontal ballistic gel tests the swords were hitting the middle nail, thus stopping them from going further since they're being stopped. Not 100% sure, but looking at some of the footage it sure looks like it.
