Great motivation but why such a small jet engine? If you built it the current size why not build a bigger one? Something that you can open and close the output flow nozzle diameter to increase and decrease the thrust force pressure.

Two or three more engines wouldn't hurt, Re- engineer the whole thing so it looks like a small chopper trike you're going to want the longer wheelbase of like maybe a single front ski and two rear skis and three or four of those engines total. Basically, keep it long, low and out of the wind.

18:58 Yes, there's a difference. The tempered one (on the right) is wavey, so if you drop it in different places, the sound will have slightly different pitches. You can notice this in the first drop. On the second glass, the sound is exactly the same pitch, so it suggests an equal structure.

For the tug of war, I think the issue is that the rope you used is too short. A shorter rope means that the stronger team has more advantage due to the tension applied to the rope. A longer rope creates slack which gives a weaker team the ability to perform the maneuver more easily.
