No, but this story is still wild. Pakistan and North Korea have both demonstrated that even a poor state if willing to tolerate the international backlash and economic cost can obtain nukes. What was cutting edge in 1945 is cursory to modern engineers and physicist. Moraji Desai thought he can survive with Hindi Imperialism votes. He was effectively stopped again and again from becoming a Prime Minister by Mr. K. Kamaraj then Congress Persident knowing his ways leading way for Shashtrijii and later to Indira Gandhi instead of himself just because he was not educated.
