Could Sonic Beat the Wind Waker?

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is one of my favorite games of all time. But in this video, I'm going to see if the Blue Blur would be able to traverse the Great Sea and complete the main events of the game. This is just a fun idea I came up with, so try not to take it seriously.

1:29 ...that fear of water was only a thing in Sonic X and Prime. Besides, Sonic just sinks like a rock, but hasn't shown any fear towards it. In Unleashed, Rush, Generations and etc, Sonic can run across water. 3:29 Apart from Sonic's wanderlust.

Before starting; how would the plot spiral out of control with Sonic there instead of Link?

Good video! Though I do have to correct you. The blade Sonic wields in _Black Knight_ is actually Caliburn, not Excalibur (King Arthur's sword) Also, I do have to wonder if Sonic would overcome his fear of water just enough to adopt Link's superswim exploit and just run on the water from island to island during sunny periods. Hell, he could probably knock Cyclos out in one swift homing attack before boosting to the nearest island to safety (maybe even with some help from the Deku leaf).

Thank you for this comment. I didn't realize I made such a silly mistake lol. I did think that boost Sonic would be a little bit overkill, but I digress. This hypothetical was really just an excuse to gush about my recent Zelda craze though.

@@Plexi.T Oh I figured as much lol. Sometimes, limiting a character's abilities is a necessary evil, even if it doesn't make all that much sense.

This video makes me hope that a dedicated Sonic Frontiers modder might turn this into a reality. I've seen a mod that puts Treetop Troubles from Spyro into the game and that actually worked well since Sonic can get a lot of horizontal distance with his boost and double jump. I imagine that the other playable characters could also add a lot. Knuckles could dig for treasure, Amy could do some crazy stuff with her card stomp, triple jump, and card glide, Tails could swim, and Knuckles/Tails could just fly/glide where ever they wanted.

Yeah. Some of the mods for that game are insane crazy the amount of stuff you can get away with.
