I'm having trouble understanding how this documentary explains how super volcanoes could affect the earth. It was great seeing all the volcanoes, but as I stated, it doesn't address the super volcanic threat. Tell George, Congratulations on his wedding though. It was a nice documentary on volcanoes.

Title has absolutely nothing to do with the video content. This is about regular volcanoes around the world, not even supervolcanoes. It's good content, why lie about what it's about? This documentary seems to be roughly 24 years old judging by a comment about the fatalities on Mount Arenal in Costa Rica.

Title is misleading. Volcanoes of the World would be a better title. There is a brief part in the beginning that mentions how a Yellow Stone eruption could cause global catastrophe. However it is mostly just some guy going around the globe checking out volcanoes. Sensationalism was the idea behind the misleading clickbait title. On top of that it almost has a homemade or "what I did on my vacation" feel to it.

How are buttbots still a problem? At least they all use the same image so it makes it easy to pick them out. On more serious note, good vid, I admit the magma chamber of yellowstone comes to mind fairly often. Nature's gravity bombs.

Much respect to you guys as i would never have the guts to get that close to an active volcano especially knowing well that some people died in that same area you are. Although i assume that you guys have an advantage as you actually have expertise in that field and lots of knowledge on those volcanos as your jobs are scientists however i cant help but wonder if those that perished were also scientists not tourists as i know that even those scientists dont hv early detection devices that would alert them of an imminent eruption/land slides etc

'mob of urchins' is what I hear, but I'm not native English speaking and I found that part audibly very hard to follow well. Wth does that mean, an urchin is an animal which lives on the bottom of the sea right.. wait let me check Cambridge 'a small child, especially one who behaves badly and is dirty or untidily dressed' -> The narrator could mean 'a mob of spoiled children who riot when I dangle cash in front of them' but he's just articulating it in his backwards British expressionism. ps: all colonial powers never treated any native people they encountered as equal unless they had to. The comment is derogatory but doesn't conclusively fall under racism, even when I'm pretty sure the guy narrating had some pretty racist world views. Unless there is a hidden meaning of urchin which is directly tied to race, which I'm not aware off?

Too heavy on the doom porn, and I'm not even 2 minutes in. Just because a volcanic system can erupt at a VEI 8 doesn't mean it will, or is even likely to. Specifically, the crust currently moving over the hotspot responsible for Yellowstone's vulcanism is getting thicker. Gonna kill my time with a different video.

Okay so I'm going to fast forward through about half of the video and if I hear some tribal chanting or what they might call music I'm not watching the rest of this and you probably will not want to either this is ridiculous if you want people to listen and watch your content why would you put something in the background that just irritates the hell out of you. Yep it's got weird strange sounds all the way through it.👇

@@rdallas81 not sure what you're talking about since we don't have a gun or drug problem. I've yet to see either of those inanimate objects get up on their own accord and hurt anybody. Stop blaming tools instead of blaming the sicko. It's a people problem. A morality problem. A value of life problem. Guns and drugs are side effects

It’s easier said than done to relocate for many families that’s a very first world point of view. Especially in some African countries where food and water are scarce and there are bandits that would rob you travelling by foot. In places where food is scarce living by a volcano isn’t the worst idea. It’s a gamble, soil around volcanoes is very nutrient rich and provides a great location for plantations. The fresh tephra helps maintain soil which feeds millions of people so I wouldn’t consider them stupid but dealing with the cards they are dealt.
