Pistons win by a minimum of 35, and the spurs win by 50. No matter what anyone says, there is a big difference between D1 college ball and NBA
@stephenscott86328 ай бұрын
Short answer, the best college team has 1 maybe 2 nba players on their roster. The NBA has every player as a NBA team. It's nonsense and they have zero chance😂😂😂

The only chance a college team has is if the college team Jacks up a bunch of threes and hits a majority of them. The weakest nba team is winning 99 out of a 100 times.

The Pistons at the tail end of their record losing streak this year took the #1 seed Celtics to overtime ... that's all you need to know. UConn would have the game called at halftime. In fact, if this exact UConn team just split up and played professionally in some leagues somewhere overseas for a few years and then came back together, they would beat the shit out of this current version of themselves, just by being older and more trained. And a lot of this UConn roster isn't even going to make or last in the NBA.

It's definitely more possible in basketball than football, because one player catching fire (or going ice cold) can swing a game so wildly. But yeah... it wouldn't happen lol.

the best college team would get dragged by the worst nba team. on some nba teams, the 12-15th players dominated in college. think about it. a national title team may have 3-4 nba players. how many nba players are on a nba team, ALL OF THEM!!! in college football, they would need body bags. the worst nfl teams still have hall of famers on them.

Any professional team creams a college team. Yes, this also includes the WNBA. In the WNBA (nevermind the normal NBA), there are 10 people who get paid money to play basketball and are better than all of their previous peers. They have years of professional training, have better coaching, have better nutrition, and are overall just smarter at the game due to this experience. The idea that a bunch of 18 19 year old kids hold a candle to them is just silly

How did you not mention the 06-07 Florida Gators? Most dominant college basketball team I've ever seen.
@colenaber74098 ай бұрын
This is actually an interesting one. That team had a lot of future NBA players on it, and a future NBA head coach. Plus, the worst team in the league that year I think was the Knicks, coached by Isaiah Thomas lol. I still don't think Florida would win, but it would be fun to see.

I can’t believe he’s bringing this up again except in basketball. Because we had this exact same conversation when Alabama football seemed unstoppable.
@colenaber74098 ай бұрын
@Mrcharles. It's not possible in football. The lines alone make the difference. Basketball is probably also impossible, but you could find a couple historical examples that at least make it a fun conversation.

We don’t need to speculate. There is clear evidence. Not only an NBA team, but maybe the best team of NBA players ever, lost to a team of college players. If we’re talking one game, the answer is a resounding yes. Especially now with the heavy employment of the 3 point shot, regarding which any team can get scorching hot or go ice cold, for one game. At the same time, the NBA team will always win the vast, vast majority if numerous games are played.

In todays NBA where players are leaving college after 1 season and then taking 3 to 4 years of NBA seasoning to develop any sort of consistent skillset/game... I would definitively give a great veteran college squad a fighters chance against the worst NBA team in a 1 and Done scenario
