Wow, an actual video on KZbin of Americans actually respecting Canadians. Although we share a continent, kids in Canada, are taught and trained the FIBA style of basketball. They fuse that with the admiration of the NBA game if and when they go to the states for prep school and college. Elite Canadian players are placed into the national team program rather than creating some sort of AAU team. With regards to talent, the greater Toronto area is a hot bed for players. The sport itself is popular across the country for boys and girls. There are lots of us that haven't even tried to play hockey because it's so expensive to join. Basketball and Soccer are normal avenues for kids to sign up for. Yes, we have winter. But it isn't snowing all year round. Shocking, I know.

The general vibe I get, the average American would be peeved if we lose to any Europe team. Canada are our friendly neighbors and we like them. If we lose it’ll be like “oh you got us eh? good job neighbors to the north” But your average American does not like Europe and Europeans 😂 Canada would be a friendly rival, france would be a legit RIVAL rival.
