We don’t actually know if the Godzillasaurus had such insane regeneration prior to the nuclear blast. I feel like he survived it more because of his durability and the radiation gave him the regeneration ability, or greatly amplified it if it was already there, but weaker

The Godzillasaurus would most definitely survive inhabiting on Skull Island given his regeneration as stated in the video. Outside of the Skull Crawlers, any other creature would learn over time that it's not worth fighting it when he can prolong any fight into an exhausting degree. Not worth the effort when they can hunt things that don't put up as much of a fight. The Skull Crawlers though would definitely abuse the fact that he regenerates for an seemingly endless food source. Though it probably wouldn't be good long term for them if they continue eating till they drop after getting bitten and scratched at by Godzillasaurus repeatedly. Ironically, it would in turn make Godzillasaurus a good way of managing the population of Skull Crawlers.

Realistically, Godzillasaurus makes so much noise just existing or fighting one skullcrawler, that he calls over 9 more and they rip into him for an hour, being unable to keep up with them, and constantly being flanked. Kong could fight them, but Godzillasaurus has neither the arms, intelligence, or experience to do so

I don't believe in the movie it is shown, however the director in an interview stated that Godzillsaurus has a solid, robust self renewal system allowed him to survive from ancient times, and exposure to the testing of nuclear bombs. It also lead to him becoming gigantic because renewed himself to survive the serious burns inflicted on him by the hydrogen bombs, and also because of intracellular error. Also in the novel written by the director he states that Godzillsaurus has regeneration. Source for the interview in which the director states this is "[Godzilla Minus One] This would not be possible in Hollywood !?｜Director / Takashi Yamazaki" around the 5:09 mark.

I don't think godzillassaurus survived the nuke because of his regeneration. He might not even have it prior to being exposed to the radiation. I always depicted that whole ordeal as a mix of his own desire for survival(a parallel to Minus One's protagonist being told to live no matter what) with the nuke affecting him in real time and allowing his body to rebuild as the Godzilla we know.

I've heard that the Japanese novelisation states that Godzillasaurus did have regen. It may not have been as hyper-fast as its mutated form, but it allowed it to survive for so many millions of years.

Mire squid would be a cake walk. Godzillasaurus is a deep-sea creature, and the Bandai figure has visible scars. It likely feeds on giant squid, like a sperm whale. It's only real problems are the giant Skullcrawler, the Kraken (which inhabits the same ecological niche of deep-sea predator), and Kong himself (who famously does not get along with therapod dinosaurs).

Great Video! I personally think he would have probably ended at the Skull Devil, but there's definitely a case for a win against "The Big One"! Though I have a question: why do you call this form Godzillasaurus? All supplementary material to Minus One and the film itself never called him Godzillasaurus, just Godzilla with the title of 'Odo Island Godzilla', 'Pre-Mutation Godzilla', and a description of a "dinosaur-like" creature. Godzillasaurus is a separately trademarked character that is specific to Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. Its kind of like saying Minilla and Little Godzilla are the same: even though they share the same purpose as Godzilla's son, they're not the same. So it should just be Godzilla, not Godzillasaurus. Though if there is a source calling him Godzillasaurus, let me know!
