Guys. I’m not kidding you when I tell you that I could own this bike as my primary bike and be very happy. I was a bit skeptical about how much I’d like the EFI 2 strokes when I heard about them. It seemed to me that it was going to “take something away” from the power and feel of those motors that I have come to love. That simply isn’t the case. This bike feels so good to me that even though I’m not crazy about the transmission ratios, I could totally own this as my primary bike and love it.
It’s good. It’s really good. The KTM 250 XC-W TPI is also good. The future is bright for 2 strokes if you ask me.
Special thanks to my $10/month patrons on / dirtbikechannel

I have my 2017 300 running similar to Tyler’s with a JD kit. I have to agree that running a tad rich does calm the initial hit off idle and smooths the throttle out. The down side (if you want to call it that) is a bit of gurgle off idle, but even with that it still feels smooth.

a lot of people are saying it has less grunt in certain areas on both the Husky and Ktm dont immediately assume it is the fuel injection these new motors could have different engineering of the porting on the intake and exhaust . i think everyone might be too quick to blame the fuel injection alone.

Would love to see a direct comparison between the Husky TE and the KTM XCW. Linkage vs PDS for an everyday rider. It seems this is the big discussion on a ton of forums. Thx for the great videos Kyle!

I know this is an older video, but I looked at one of these today, only it is the 2020 model. Also looked at the KTM XC250, but it is the 2021. The Husqvarna is priced $1,000 less, so it is very appealing. I am 56 and getting into the sport, so with me being new and the type of riding I will do I don't think I will tell the difference between one and the other.

Cold start on TPI bikes it is very different as they only get pure oil injected into the crank and it takes time for oil to get to the piston specially in cold climate areas (like here where summer is +5C to +10C) and when doing winter riding. There is many videos here of pistons of TPI show wear marks probably caused by lack of lubrication on the piston during cold start. They should maybe make another cold start oil injector to lubricate the piston when starting. .................,

Lack of low end between 17 + carb and efi is really saying something as 17+ carb bikes are noticeably softer then the 12 to 16 carbureted bikes

I think so, have one TE 300 and feels well on whoops, although I’m not an expert rider at all. What limits my speed is my chin hitting the handlebars if I’m too fast, good thing was wearing my helmet.

Theres alot of comments on saying this was "clickbait" . Everyone is sick of #clickbait for sure but is this like a extreme case or case of it, No. But i will say it does give off the vibe. *Thats why i don't watch joey & dana they are clickbait idiots for sure.* I dont believe kyles was intentional & the video is about the content... Though if it was with him saling his 2 KTMs on craigslist ,to be like im buying the Husqvarna right now. That would have been a "suprise" if you want to nit pick it.

Marc Battaglia I hate it when people say this. The bike you ride is extremely important, it will be very difficult and time consuming to even learn riding techniques on the wrong bike, so that 20% becomes much bigger. It's one thing when you're already a pro and can ride any bike well (although nearly all pros use 250-300cc 2 strokes, I don't think that's a coincidence), but when you're learning, it's a different story.

@garthlundquist8316
@garthlundquist8316 6 жыл бұрын
eyalcr500 I own 3 late model Husqvarnas and find the suspension systems to be superb. Both the Xplor48 and the AER 48 forks are totally competitive or better than anything else currently offered. Nobody complains about the shock. No other manufacturer offers the rider a choice of systems ( link or PDS, air fork or spring fork) like KTM/ Husqvarna. Just buy the system that fits your needs and terrain, and be sure to fit the proper springs for your rider weight. Most who complain have not actually ridden the new suspension systems. Pros all custom tune their suspension anyway.

Sure. Watch the news tonight and when they say "we ask a Jazz player if he likes it here in Utah, and the answer may surprise you" so you watch and he says "yeah I like it here, nice place..." WTH? Feels like you've been had- Where is the surprise to your teaser Kyle? You own the orange version of this bike, they are world class bikes anyway, why would any of your subscribers be 'surprised' to hear you say " I don't love the tranny, not in love with the forks, but I COULD have this as my main bike". Sorry if that doesn't compute. I'm not trying to be a keyboard warrior here but I think this cheapens your channel and dumbs down things slightly. The videos are great and speak for themselves without the bait.
@bobagnew6070
@bobagnew6070 6 жыл бұрын
Lance G. I was quite happy with the title and don't see how it cheapens anything. The only thing that would cheapen it is pushing paid promotions. Calling him out on click bait is precious.
