There's no comparison. The Packers were one piece away from a Super Bowl contending team. They are not that team now. They are still too weak at many positions. Reggie did not cost the Packers draft picks. Stop comparisons and educate yourself on the difference in a free agent and a trade.

We need to stop being the “good enough” team, Rich has been here how long, 3 years? We still are bad on special teams, why extend him when he can’t do the basics of his job? We have to look for “signs of improvement” around the edges? Now we find out he’s helping with game management, which was really bad, what the hell are we doing?

My issue with the packers keeping draft picks over trades is that they honestly are pretty bad at first round picks. Especially on defense! They are terrible at scouting D backs and Edge! I’d rather have the proven elite guy than a guy like Gary or LvN who has measurables but are bad players and take 4 years to play above average and by the time they play good they are going to get the massive contract anyway. We need someone to contribute NOW!!! LVN and Gary types won’t help for 4 years if they even develop at all. I hope they don’t take a corner in round 1 because they can’t get a corner to save their lives. They have much better luck getting UDFAs off practice squads around the league than picking in round 1

Possible dumb question: With trades how much does a player's desire to be traded to another team factor in? Seems like Adams and Rodgers ended up exactly where they wanted to be. Could Crosby become more attainable for GB through a desire to be on a winning team with his buddy Josh? Raiders would still have to get theirs, but could he 86 a deal he doesn't like by saying to other teams he would not play (well) if forced to go to them?

Andy, I get that you’re not agreeing with the bissachia extension but I also don’t get your apathy about it…. “It looked like the specials were actually competent, in year 3 we should’ve known better” if that’s not an indictment on his time here idk what is…… third year in charge and they’re still ranked last in the nfl…… keeping him is malpractice What happened to the urgency Gutey was just preaching about??? How can bissachia fail this much and still be brought back and still preach urgency?? Also, worrying about whether coaches will not like the fact that matt keeps firing ST coordinators is laughable…….this is the nfl, if your unit keeps finishing in the bottom half, you should expect to be fired. Shouldn’t be hard to explain to candidates that yes, if your unit finishes 32 out of 32, you will be fired. If that scares off coaches, we don’t want them……

I agree for the most part. However "different" has not equated to drastic improvement to ST on the field. Once again one way to measure a coordinator is to look at what they do after GB. Someone please enlighten me on a successful coordinator who left. Coach B...year 3 there shouldnt be ANY excuses. Where does the blame go? Players not responding to coach, scheme, or the coach himself? Why are catering to Nixon? GB hasnt found a consistent returner in years. Getsy was here last time...didnt work. Went outside GB ...didnt work. Bringing him back what is the likelyhood of it working? Max Crosby is a could be conversation...get Jacobs in on it. He said he would help recruit. You know good talent when you see it. Can they (GB) get out of generating talent over picking it? "Urgency" equates to NOW not "projecting".

I thought after last season (loss to 49'ers in playoffs) that the Packers might be two years away from legit contending. Now after this season I think they're still two years away provided the roster improves, Hafley stays, and Love improves. I think there are too many roster areas in need of upgrade via free agency and draft to realistically think they'll legit contend any time sooner--that they can get everything addressed in just this one offseason. SO, the present question is what areas they try to address and upgrade this offseason given what pool of free agents and draft prospects are out there this offseason. They can't address every area of need in just this one offseason, so which areas do they address? I know their main needs, but I don't know which free agents/draft prospects they are targeting whom they think can meet those needs.

Rich P. Has helped improve our Special Teams into a below average group from just plain terrible. Not good enough. But it is no longer a BG detriment. The kickers are more stable and coverage and return teams are still questionable. Assistance Coaches - OC meh and now we will see if we continue on a path of improvement on Defense. My problem is Matt LeFluer I just do not believe he is a leader and at times shaky in his game decisions especially with game Imanagement and red zone effectiveness. Coaching extensions for Special Teams …coaches get released all the time so Rich is on the Hot seat. Our 1st round draft picks have been disappointing. If you can’t pressure the opposing QB your defensive will suffer. Regarding the Premier Edge rushes giving up Draft Capital and cap space II do not want that. I’d rather trade down or trade say VanNess or R.Gary for draft capital say a #2. Then you have draft capital and flexibility to draft a player you covet.

Being a "hardass" and being a good coach are not the same. In regards to the special teams if Bisaccia has all these other duties then get someone else to focus on special teams because they suck. And if Bisaccia has any responsibilities with the offense that too is suspect. Since the offense seems to always stall when it counts. As things are now I have no hope that things will get better. Draft picks not working out and the lack of free agents being hired will continue to hold this team back. The system in GB is broken. I wouldnt put it that low that the Browns could accomplish some things. They are one of the more talented teams, now they started selling some of those pieces because of where they were in the league standings and yes they have a huge QB problem at this time with potentially a lot of money in Chubb who might not even be an avg back because of the injury he was coming off of. I also get after the Cooper trade and how many O-lineman went down that those positions are also something they will need to address but there isn't many spots outside of that. There not far off, even if they just resolve the QB problem this year or next, that team could easily be back in the playoffs and maybe further. Also the names you are bringing up are very unrealistic, maybe one is dealt in the next 365 days but to expect (or at least be possible) it to be GB and that all these guys will be possibly going is kind of crazy. I also understand you are just throwing names and making hypotheticals.

@ you're adding to my point. This two are both older and edges. Also van ness is a 3 tech not and edge. He has flexibility which you want due to injury and rotation but his natural position is inside the tackle out side the guard. He's fast that the inside linemen but not fast enough to get to the QB from the outside. Keeping him at 3 tech will show his try potential. I played his exact position.

No major trades. The Packers are really only getting 2 picks in the top 50 and really only 4 in the first 4 rounds. They need to keep those for the 2025 draft. If the Packers can run into a situation like in 2024 when they picked up McKinney and Jacobs in FA then fine. Otherwise not seeing trades from the first 4 picks as helpful. Garett and Mack are both 29 and starting the down slide of their careers. Worth it for picks 5-7 maybe. Crosby is really not worth it.

@orangeofmars2835 Kahlil Mack is 34. Also, he is a free agent, so a draft pick doesn't come into the situation.

You're just wrong as far as them not being worth it. I've never heard an nfl fan you thinks they're smart say something as delusional as Crosby and garret only being worth 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick.

DK Metcalf please. 6-3 225 4.3 27 years old. Alpha WR. Watson will be a non factor in 2025 (not happy about this, just a fact). Doubs could retire and if he doesn't do we trust him as anything more than he already has been (WR 2,3?). Reed ok maybe, but he's a far better looking WR2 across from a dude than a hope for WR1 on a true Super Bowl contender. Wicks, Melton, really? We need a guy and the Hawks are in cap hell and shopping an alpha.

In my mind, it would make sense to trade picks. The Packers have been VERY relaxed and even traded players away recently for draft capital and drafted the guys. NOW be aggressive and use picks for an IMMEDIATE starter in the team. No more young guys who aren’t ready to start. No more “youngest team in the nfl so it’s okay they make mistakes” It’s time to be aggressive. Which is something the packers haven’t done much of

Khalil Mack would be an upgrade if the price is right. A short term contract gives the Green Bay Packers a much needed pass rushing boost, as well as a really great player to learn from and doesn’t stunt their growth at all because of Green Bay spreading their snap counts. Although, other than what we would give up in a trade to get Myles Garrett or Maxx Crosby, the money would not be that different between the 2. If a 1st round draft pick could get Myles Garrett, that would be a gamechanger for the Green Bay Packers. The whole defense would be improved. The Green Bay Packers need upgrades in Pass Rush, 2 starting solid Cornerbacks, and a better Center to make their whole OLine solid. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
