It's interesting that McVay has become the gold standard for head coaches by a lot of national media (Cowherd, Greenberg, etc.) They've won 44% of their games over the past 3 seasons. Belichick won 43% of this games over his last 3 seasons and got fired.

Belichick hired Matt Patricia as his OC, and had his winning percentage dwindle every year since Brady left. Oh, and his draft classes sucked for 3-4 straight years.

So what is your point? If Bill was not the GM I would have given Bill a hall pass but his draft picks had been terrible. Two kickers in the same draft, really? Letting a decent WR go and replacing him when garbage. Thinking a DC could become an OC on the fly. Bill got careless and yes he is old. Bill without Tom has won one playoff game in 11 years. I always wished Tom and Bill went out together.
