165hz 1440p(since 2019) I'm rocking a 3070 so planning to get a main monitor maybe next year to a 240hz 1440p

1440p@144Hz on my desktop and 1600p@165Hz on my laptop. I am waiting for a good HDR monitor that's not too expensive as a replacement for my desktop display.

When I started considering getting a new PC the first thing I bought was a new monitor, then case, keyboard+mouse and just got a PSU - will be buying everything else soon.

CRT is still the best (for retro) 1440p 165HZ for main gaming system. My CRT is a 1998 Sony GDM 400PS

No doubt, but the real low res CRTs like professional broadcast monitors are expensive as heck since the retro gaming boom started

For PBP, can you select 2 video outputs so each input take half a screen and is there more screen speration options for 3 inputs?

Currently looking into getting myself a new main monitor, and then using my old one (Samsung C27F396FHU) as a secondary monitor. I think the iiyama G-Master G2466HSU-B1 Red Eagle is a pretty good price/performance option in Germany (166€/£142,5 ).
@eTeknix3 жыл бұрын
That's a pretty decent price tbh. Have you looked at AOC? They are normally one of the best for affordable options.
@emilzexkk7353 жыл бұрын
@@eTeknix At the current time the iiyama is actually the cheapest 1080p over 144hz (it has 165hz) curved display with slim bezels in Germany. The closest AOC with similar specs costs about 10€ more, and, as the Viotek, not that visually appealing with its red accents at the bottom of the display (don't care about the stand, will be mounting it on an arm.)

Its $279.99 in US..

Yeah it came down slightly since filming. That's pretty damn good tbh.

I'm still using my Samsung curved monitor, nothing special about it just standard curve. 1440p144hz though. Next year I'll buy better when I get a PC again

Seems to be the sweet spot at the moment tbh.

Ha, I had an X34P. Was great, but love my slightly newer Xiaomi. Very similar monitor but nicer looking.
@Tony0THUNDERCAT0Reynolds3 жыл бұрын
Well you not really unless you're holding the full refresh rate of the monitor all the time at max setting on the game
@AlexPetcu843 жыл бұрын
For most of the more demanding games you are not, I have the same monitor, the same GPU and I find it to be right where it needs to be. Some games are driven past the 120hz refresh rate while others are just where they should be in terms of FPS.
