Yes! We have one of those that got clogged with his hair, we gotta fix it. Although we found something on Amazon that is like a deshedding/grooming tool that vacuums at the same time? We will try that next! I felt so bad putting that suit on him 😩

Omg Winston is so adorable. His head is bigger than my entire dog 😂. I think it's absurd that the biggest size says 130lbs and up. Up to what? Big difference between 130 and 180. So glad I found you guys. I just love everything to do with dogs ❤️

Right!? JUSTICE FOR THE BIG BOYS (and girls)! Their breed standard is like 160-230 pounds according to AKC so hopefully we can somehow gain enough traction to convince this company to make larger sizes, even if it means we have to pay extra to get it custom (although I don't think we should, there are tons of breeds out there who get up around Winston's weight too). Absolutely! I can't say it was easy. It honestly was one of the toughest experiences for me, that's why I haven't made a video yet because I am scared I'll get upset thinking about it with my first pregnancy and first postpartum experience and witnessing all these changes with Winston. BUT THERE IS A SILVER LINING I PROMISE!! I will definitely make a video about it. Congradulations on your pregnancy🎉🤭🤗 i am a mommy of 3 boys a mastiff & a boerboel, a basset hound & a German short haired pointer. I'M NO DOG EXPERT. But I will say it boils down to how you have raised your doggies & how their temperament is during interactions with other doggies & people. Introduce the doggies slowly to your baby. My boy is the sweets doggie🤭♥ he looks frightening in terms of size, he is just a gentle giant. His personality is just the opposite of what he looks like & we got all our boys when they were puppies. All the best🤗🤗🤗

@@nancykhumalo2904 agreed with this!!! The dog training is the biggest move and slow intro. We also did a lot of setting up with Winston, before baby came he built the bassinet and it’s a moving bassinet so we would let it move around him (he’s scared of moving objects bahhaha like our roomba). Surprisingly he was fine! Also playing lots of crying baby sounds helped also. Did you find that all your dogs handled it well, or did some handle it better than others?

HI Emans fam., if it comes to me i don,t really think it's a good idea with the overall, 1st, wearing it for just a few hours will not make a different and might even make the shedding worse since the hair will be rubbing on the material. 2nd, it will not allow the body temp. to regulate well , might be too hot for him. 3rd, it might cause skin irritation specially if the material is not breathable, last but not least 4th, its just not confortable for him, put yourself in his place will you like to wear something like that? ..... Easier way is using hair removal gloves, buy alot and keep a pair in easy accessable places so each times you hugg him , youl kill 2 birds with one stone, you get to pet and brush him at the same time.

Thank you so much!! We were thinking the same, even for this video, I wanted to get it off of him IMMEDIATELY because the tightness alone doesn't look fun--like look how his joints are sitting. I'm sure I would like to have it (if they ever had a bigger size) to use if we EVER had a guest come over and they had allergies... Only time I would personally use it! Otherwise, I agree with you--just not worth it and honestly we really don't mind a little dog hair! We were just so genuinely curious, as I'm sure a lot of people are!

I’ve noticed from my dogs that they would lose more of those bristle furs if they relax outside in direct sunlight. Also, it may help him lose weight if you can get his nails cut shorter by a vet. (He’d probably need sedation and clotting powder for the nails.) It would also prevent injuries to his legs as he gets older if his nails could be kept short.

Just out of curiosity, how does cutting his nails shorter by a vet specifically make him lose weight? I’m genuinely curious what the connection is! If he goes to the vet, I don’t think he’ll need sedation-he loves getting pedicures 😏

@@theemanfamily he could be having a bit of pain or discomfort when he’s standing or walking.. our dog would spend a lot of time laying down then developed a bit of a limp but we didn’t really notice there was an issue until after we started keeping her nails short. That was several years ago and she’s a very old lady now - she can still walk around but her legs and back would be in better condition if we had kept her nails short.

Well, that looks like a godsend, although a bit tight. I’ve had dogs for the last 40 years, all of them adopted. It must’ve been just pure, dumb luck that none of them shed. However, the sweetie that I adopted three years ago sheds as much as your big boy. This year, it has been worse than ever. I vacuum him every day, and although he doesn’t mind, it doesn’t seem to help. So as soon as I post this, I’m going to order one of those shirts for my 50 pound pup. Thank you so much for making this video. Perhaps with the vacuuming, and him wearing the shirt I’ll be cleaning up less hair. 🤞 Hug the big boy for me. 😊

What breed is your latest pup, or is it unknown? Thank you for what you do in this dog/human world for adopting--you are doing amazing things for the community! I heard the shedding gets worse with certain types of food? I'm not an expert though! But that's interesting that it randomly got worse, and I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you after years of having non-shedding dogs. @@theemanfamily I think he’s a German Shepherd/Doberman mix. I adopted him when they say he was two years old. He was sick, skinny, and weighed 24 pounds. I knew I had to get him healthy, but I never imagined he would gain 26 more pounds. Everyone here thinks the reason all of our dogs are shedding profusely is because the weather turned and stayed warm so quickly. I live outside of Chicago, and for this last month, I should have been shoveling 2 feet of snow. Instead, I’m looking at green grass. Because of this, our dogs are shedding early, and anyone with seasonal allergies are sneezing and coughing. It’s been a crazy year. I ended up ordering him one that did not cover his legs. Because he has such a deep chest, I think the legs would have been too tight. Thanks for the great suggestion. I’ve shared your page, and the onesies I bought for Shodan. That is absolutely heartbreaking. Thank you for getting your boy back to his healthy self! Oh my goodness, that is absolutely scary-the global warming. Very concerning! You commented about getting a pony blanket for Winston. For my first mastiff, a Bullmastiff, we took the fleece liner from a jacket and put it on her upside down. It zipped up her back and her legs went through the sleeves (which we rolled up). It is not quite as cold here in Northeastern Indiana but she loved it and it worked great. We live on a farm so there was LOTS of extended outside time. I have now owned three Mastiffs. The last was a reverse brindle EM male and my curenta fawn female and my largest at 155-160#. We don't have the stock anymore but we go out and cut LOTS of firewood. For Winston, you could try going to a thrift store and get a bigger jacket/coat for winter or rainy weather.

10000%. They’re supposed to be breathable, and they would be if they were appropriately-sized for him. But because mastiffs also have so many folds etc it is hard to make a suit for them. He gets hot even just laying on carpet sometimes so I can imagine.

We love the English mastiff breed ! I have a English Mastiff too ! lol He's 189 lbs in the brindle color - I heard you mentioned shedding - You may want to try OMEGA 3,6 and 9 - Like a fish oil - this will help with his Skin and Coat as well as his Joints - My Boy barley sheds --- Let me know if you want the product names that I use for "Lil Huey" lol
