An idea for Salt Shark. It's expensive to distribute the globe from one location. Luckily there is a common practice that a lot of chemical companies do. They find a chemical mixing company to make their products, they follow recipes, have bottles filled and labeled, boxed and shipped. A lot of soap type chemicals are made this way. I'm in the pressure washing business and a lot of companies have their preferred mixing company to make their surfactants that I use. I would find one for North America, one for Europe, and of course one locally for local distribution. That would help cut the cost of shipping chemicals across the seas. One specific thing you will have to do is make sure the bottle you want to use is available or can be available for cheap. Most people go with a common shape because it's easily available everywhere.
@desolatemetro5 ай бұрын
Ordered some SaltShark already. Bundling it with a foam cannon was a great idea. A vehicle undercarriage specific setup would definitely be something I would buy. I see you ask someone below if they have a pressure washer - I do, and I have an existing undercarriage sprayer but it is not the best. Ill be the first in line if you launch that.

I just realized how much work a sail boat is. When I first saw 25k miles, i thought, "wow that's a lot." Then I was thinking my tundra has close to 300k miles and all I do is change the oil. You have basically swapped every part of your boat including rebuilding the structure. That's a lot of money and effort for 25k miles. It does look like its worth every hardship though as every place you sail to is absolutely stunning!

Those load sensors look to be an excellent tool, you will be surprised how much the actual loads vary in different situations. My advice, as ever, is to keep the loads down to the minimum that works for your individual boat, which may be higher then an original version of your boat but less then the manufacturer's recommendations. We know those were too high for the original structure. Continue to use the rear bulkhead as a measurement and work out what is then best with these too. 2 tonnes seems a touch high to me, that said you will get that reading, and more, often if you set up at 1.6 to 1.7 tonne at rest. Enjoyed watching you guys playing around with the legs, have you thought of doing it within a box to stop bits flying about? My thoughts.

To make a uniform thickness Gasket with liquid rubber... Get a wooden roller with an axle and handel (about 25 mm diamiter ). put the liquid rubber on a piece of cardboard. coat the roller and let it dry by using the roller to spread the rubber on the cardboard. let everything cure. when you need a gasket break out the cardboard and roller with liquid rubber and roll transfer a gasket on the surfaces needing a gasket, you will be suprised how nicely the gasket works and how clean everything stays.
