@@glostergloster6945 He's still a great tournament manager. Nagelsmann has never managed at international level before and he's doing fine. Tuchel is a great tournament manager, he got one of the weakest Bayern teams in years to a UCL semi final and he knocked out the strongest Arsenal team in 20 years.

Club management where you are seeing the players day in day out is very different to intl tournament football where you may see the players every couple of months. I remember the Sven Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello days, both good club managers in their respective leagues, got nowhere close to Gareth Southgate's record (despite Gareth being a poor club manager). Club football and intl football are like apples and oranges. Im not anti Tuchel btw I just dont think it is as easy to slot in someone who has only known club football into an intl setup

Is losing to Greece such a big deal? It was,'t the World Cup final? He gave us exactly what we were screaming for in the Euros. Max respect for having the balls and trying it - if you don't try it you'll never know. Why is everyone looking for Kane again, he was shite in the summer. Jude played the false 9 and had both chances, scoring once. Toney has to play the 9 not Kane. The main challenge is dropping Foden as he's one of City's best but he's not doing it for England.

Why are people so adamant that we have to play Declan Rice? He’s a brilliant player but for the sake of the team and balance it’s as obvious to me since his debut, you play Gomes in the 6 and then select the best no8 alongside him between Jude and Rice. Jude wins every time. Then look at the 10 and I think Palmer is the better 10, so play him. Don’t worry about who doesn’t start - they’re world class players for impact and cover. Why is that so hard to see?

Tuchel is perfect for international management. Look at his time with chelsea. He had a mix-match of players, no proper winger, aging defence, no striker and no real creative midfielders. He assessed our weakpoints and made a system to maximise our strengths and hid our weaknesses and we managed to win a freaking ucl and compete with prime liverpool and man city. That team was honestly terrible and really unbalanced yet he managed to make us into a top team. He wont pick throw 6 attackers on, hell actually field a balanced team based on the individuals strengths and weaknesses

I just want an England manager to pick a balanced team and not force square pegs into round holes, Carsley didn't "try something new" he's just the latest bottler that didn't want to upset a diva so threw an extra attacking midfielder into the team instead of letting Ollie Watkins have 90 minutes at long last with Kane being injured which is what any normal manager would have done.

Thats nothing to do with him... theyre both not very good managers. Southgate is fortunate that he had a great squad and the global level of football went down. Italy, germany, until recently spain, netherlands, brazil, belgium etc etc all have gotten far worse than 10-15 years ago. Southgate was lucky because Englands new generation of talent was better in comparison to the rest of the world and we took advantage of that transition period
