Could Tiana's Bayou Adventure Be Getting A Soft Refurb??

By all accounts it really needs the repairs. I think it was stupid to replace Splash Mountain for this weak ride. And the ride is weak as it completely deletes one of Disney's coolest villain's with Dr. Facilier. It really doesn't give the Princess and the Frog the love it deserves. It's just a cheap cynical overlay.

Agreed. I want to see Dr. Facilier and Lawrence in the ride and put in Spoonbill birds and lady butterflies and 3 frog hunter men which I wanted to see on the ride.

The problem should have been fixed before it opened. The fact that this ride has never worked since being rehashed as Tiana's Adventure. Leads one to believe guest are avoiding it. Is it possible Imagineers are adding a fire drill theme to the ride as now there is a fire in the Bayou and you and Tiana have to evacuate. Sounds plausible under this group of Imagineers.

They aren’t. In all of the new villain things they plan on adding, Facilier is never included. I think they are quietly trying to sideline him because they feel they could offend people who practice voodoo. 😒

One would hope that they care enough to fix it but maintenance history says do not get too excited. It’s probably a cost cutting measure in the colder months since it would typically be closed for a standard refurb this time of year. Someone looked at a spreadsheet and said the numbers were down and that it should have reduced hours. The spreadsheets are in charge now, not maintenance reports.

If Tiana's Bayou Adventure is getting a soft refurbishment, they better update Tiana's Bayou Adventure with more Princess and the Frog character animatronics. Because as of this comment I'm not going on Tiana's Bayou Adventure and will boycott it unless they add more characters to the ride. If they want me to come back on Tiana's Bayou Adventure or better yet a Princess and the Frog retelling ride They need to add animal characters to the ride, including Spoonbill birds, lady butterflies, alligators, crane bird, 3 possums hanging on a tree branch, deer, maybe a skunk from Bambi, or bats like in The Flying Mouse 1934 cartoon short, Stella the dog, Marcel the Cat. Also I want human characters added including Dr. Facilier, Lawrence, 2 Fenner Brothers, 3 frog hunter men, Buford Tiana's former boss and many townspeople added to the ride, and I want 2 more songs "When we're human", "Friends on the Other Side" or "Tiana's Bad Dream" score for the drop off with the spirit of Dr. Facilier added to the ride and let Mama Odie sing "Dig A Little Deeper" with the dancing spoonbill birds. Also while Disney Imagineers are at it how about they pay tribute and respect to the 1927 flood 500 victims and let us park guests know about the real life 1927 Mississippi river flood since this ride happens during the 1927 flood events. If they do update it, I'll be happy and will give the ride another chance, but if they let it stay the same with empty spaces, I'll ignore the ride and pretend it never existed and will instead ride Grizzly River Run, Pirates of the Carribean, Jurassic World River Adventures instead in my future park visit.

At what point did you decide to become all negative Disney coverage? I know, you're gonna gasp, clutch your pearls, clinch the buttcheeks, and say, me?!?! But I can list the titles of your last 40 Disney videos, and you tell me, is anything positive or a good news story? Is this what earns you money and more clicks now? Just being a watered down less obnoxious version of Clownfish? I'm by NO means a Disney apologist or delusional fan. Hell, I haven't been there in over 3 years, and this summer, I'm taking the family to Universal for 10 days, zero at Disney. But I like calling a spade a spade. What difference does it make if it's cold or a soft refurb? Even if they left it as the uber-lame and dated Splash Mountain, it's STILL the same exact track and ride vehicles. This is just more fodder for the right wing cancel clowns to climb aboard and pretend Disney is going out of business or in the tank. As long as people have young children, Disney will be there, making money hand over fist, regardless if you disagree with anything they have said or done in the past. But whatever brings in the traffic, right?

This video is speculation on if they will fix a ride that has had issues from the moment it's opened and I even say in the video "I hope they fix it". In fact, in most videos I point out that I want Disney to get back to how they used to run the parks because the parks were great and still are in many aspects but they've clearly been slipping for years on the small details. They set the standard for theme parks and they've been falling short of their own standard IMO. Also, please tell me when I said Disney was going out of business or that they haven't been making money? I've never said such things or that the parks are empty. I pushback against those claims constantly. I made a video a few days ago about how Disney had 3 movies make a Billion dollars, I also made a video talking about when they changed from Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multipass that it was a better system as most people wanted something closer to Fastpass+. I'm guessing you don't actually watch the videos but you just resort to name calling in the comments, that's your prerogative but nobody is making you watch the content so feel free to move along if you don't like it.

There's a segment of people rooting for Disney to fail. They have called Disney everything from pedophiles, to groomers, to whatever it is that gets the outrage machine chugging along. anthonyc8963 I suppose I should be honored you think there is some grand conspiracy or master plan to my videos... the truth is I'm just a guy in a spare bedroom giving my thoughts on things. You're making a lot of assumptions on my intent, the type of person I am and putting words in my mouth that I've never said. Yes Disney is offering discounts because of competition from Epic Universe, I think that's pretty clear to just about everyone, not just some "hot take" by me. The low attendance part you're talking about with Tiana's isn't about park attendance, it was about the demand for that ride during a period of time when it's been 30 degrees in Florida! It's not some conspiracy that people aren't going to ride a water ride when it's that cold out. I've never referred to Tiana's as "woke" or feigned outrage that they changed the ride, I've mentioned many people haven't been happy with the change but my personal comments are simply directed at the fact that it's a brand new attraction that has had issues even back in ride testing... and I even said I hope they fix it... truly shocking stuff. Not sure why you're so angry but it's just theme parks, it's not that serious of a subject to get this worked up over.
