i gotta say your lessons are extremely easy to learn, thanks a lot for tha and one question: if it is the 3rd conditional, then why is the sentence like :if i would have known you were ill, i would have been there for you." because i thought it would be like :"if i had known you were ill, i would have been there for you", so are both correct ? thanks in advance :)

The latter is more grammatically standard. The former is a way of speaking. English is spoken in so many different ways.
