seriously. i was a dumb teen and stole from dept stores. one day something told me to stop drop what was in my bag and leave immediately. as i walked out cops were walking in. just a few moments later my record would’ve been destroyed for life. i haven’t stolen anything since.

As someone who has both been to jail and not been to jail, I can confirm. And also, one you go to jail, a simple computing error or update error 10 years later can send you back to jail on accident 😂😂 It's best not to start lol. They really want you back.

Everything I know about prisons is based on watching Oz, Shawshank Redemption and Prison Break, also Papillon. Based on them, I think Rhett would become the prison philosopher, who reads a lot and gives strange but convincing answers to the questions his fellow inmates ask him about life. Link...he'd probably be well-liked by many. And, if y'all end up in the same prison, you can always use your creativity and engineering skills to escape.

I was taught as a psychology student that believing you should do things for women, such as opening the door, saving them first in an emergency, etc. is inherently sexist. You should hold the door open for everyone, not just women. Male and female able adults should be saved with the same priority (exceptions for pregnant women) etc.

My 18 year old daughter is a correctional deputy for HCSO (Humboldt county sheriff's office, CA). You would do fine in jail because you two are rule followers. Follow the rules that are enforced and you'll be just fine. Inmates even have iPads!
